Im a new grower just about to buy my first lights. I just wanted to know if enviro lights are as good as hps and do i need 2 different coloured bulbs to grow and flower

well you wont need 2 different bulbs if u get full spectrum lites..To get enuf light to flower under cfls you'd need at least 450w(actual wattage)..Im a bit of a noob but my set up is 1x125x 2x200w ecolite cfls

No a HPS is the best .
but the blue 125w cfls Are better for vegging and cheaper to run but you want a hps for flowering

i have a mixibright envirolight 240w red spec its huge but does the job my plants love it even in veg but i use fluros also

Yh shes fat i got:::
1 x 125w 12000 lumens
2 x 85w 5500 lumens
alittle smaller than yours

But i only veg with mine..

as you just pointed out i turn my fluros off during flowering do ya thin it would help to put my fluros on for an hour or summin? and thats some serious watts man lol bet you're plant love it lol

i havent a clue but only small... ideal for baby seedlings thats why i have to use my envirolight its a red spec dunno if i said that already....

my cuboard is only 3ft wide 5ft high 3ft deep wont hps give off too much heat.i'm only gunna flower 2 at a time also would i still need air inlet and outlet vents with cfl.i also bought some earley skunk seeds to grow in my garden i started it under them under a normal bulb the first one i did in april it took ages to get to 1ft then i put it in my little green house now its 2ft 6 inches but its pretty bushey.stem is thick but i thought it would be bigger.any help is much appreciated cheers

Yh 5 ft is not reli alot um you will be fine if you get a aircooled ones ...
if not a 70w-150w hps FLOODLIGHT will be fine man and cheap to run and buy they like 30 bucks :joint::peace::joint:

the high out put cfls are good for veg . you will get better results with a hps in flowering.i use a 125w cfl for veg i am happy with my results.gl on your grow. may you be cursed with many buds.

KINGOFTHEWEED if your not gonna do loads of plants go for a 70-150w hps FLOODLIGHT ..cheap to run and to buy ...!!
