Entry level concentrates method?

I'm getting tired of smoking; more importantly, my lungs are tired of it. What would be the cheapest method of turning your green into concentrates?
I’m with fadedawg on this one. Qwiso or qwet

I’ve found it to be the easiest and best method for me making concentrates at home. It only takes a few minutes to do the actual process, and then just filter it and let it evaporate for 24hrs and you’ve got a delicious clean concentrate to enjoy.

Much safer then bho at home, and waaaay less work then bubble hash and you get a cleaner dab-able concentrate without doing even more processing into rosin.

The process I do is in the link at the bottom of my post.

Last night I got to wondering how hard it would be to actually make concentrates to "refill" a vape cart. I'll have to see if I can find some YT videos on that.

QWET/QWISO would require the least amount of equipment. Rosin is probably next.

To do BHO safely would require the most amount of equipment and in some locations is illegal outside a licensed/permitted facility.
Agreed. This is the cheapest and easiest. Filter the shit out of it and you will have a happy concentrate to dab.

CCell vape carts are cheap and work very well with thick oil. But if using vape carts, you will want to filter well. Particulate in the oil will foul the coil.

The trick to longevity with CCell carts is to 'pulse' the coil. Not hold it on constantly when vaping.

Whats the yield like with qwet or qwiso? I figure its like washing. Does it remotely have any alcohol taste? Its real unappealing to me for some reason just being honest.

I do enjoy my flower rosin and the process of making it. I am a concentrate lover and just never tried any qwiso. Nor heard of it till I joined here 2 years ago.

At first I was wondering why everyone suggested washing a pound and a half than pressing it. If Id regret it half way though. Not at all, it was pretty fast.

Im just curious maybe Im missing out on a nice method Im just worried itll reak like alcohol. Like smoking out a piece that all the tar wasnt removed so it has that alcohol taste.

I make basic grade dry sift imo it beats anything for flavour except maybe rosin, sifting gives you concentrated bud flavour but it still requires smoking?

If flavour is your primary focus try a bit sifting using your bubble bags as a screen.

If purged properly, there is little to no residual solvent. Ethanol/iso extraction can offer a very tasty concentrate if care taken in extraction and processing.

In my experience, yields from QWET or QWISO are similar to BHO friends get. I typically get about a 17% (by wt) return. QWISO yielding less than QWET.

I should actually correct myself.

The easiest and cheapest entry level extraction would be heat pressing bud with your girlfriend's hair straightener. Most people have parchment paper already. So what is holding you back?

Seen it on youtube a few years ago. Tried it. Holy fuck! It works! Fucks you up real good.

the yield is related to the starting material, but it’s similar to bho yields.

Qwiso tastes just like the starting material too. Cured trim and buds taste cured and fresh frozen tastes like the fresh buds smell. No alcohol taste, Because there is NO alcohol left.

It usually required about a 24 hr evaporation for the 1 quart sized batches I usually ran. I used a filter over a large Pyrex dish with a fan moving air over the surface. After 24hrs it was a dry crystal in the Pyrex dish. I would scrape it up and put it into some parchment paper. A little squeeze together with my fingers and you have a solid chunk of hash.

super clean tasty dabs with very little messing around or extra steps. It’s easy/cheap enough to set up and you can try out a small batch, you don’t have to wash a lb.

I noticed a more gentle first pass make better rosin and yield. Second pass its less oil, my strain will pump out more with higher temps so its darker. More contaminants from aggresive second pass to get it all out.

So its got raunchy to it at some points dabbing it vs the first pass sift. Still more thc than flower rosin and purer. Id press that.

I thought about edibles but I get better edibles using better quality. Its a gift with the flower rosin, I get hash rosin with this. Im high as hell of the second pass sift rosin right now.

I got to look further into the qwet qwiso. Im hooked on pressing but it sounds easier. And pure. I mean, Ive dabbed bho for years and it dont have butane in it. But ME making it.. Ive had some that flamed up in the banger probably a amature bho maker.

So I worry Ill mess it up and itll taste and fire up.

Looked into it more, the iso left behind not a concern. Need to setup a way to vent it out and doing any of this outside is a no. So setup required. Collection looks like hell, is live easier?

How much 99% iso to wash a pound? Well a ib fills up a 2 gal bag. 35$ a gal iso. about 70-100$ for my ib and half?

As long as I get 20% back. Wow so new method new bean hunt. It would be similar in price per gram.

If I dont get more than 20% back its more costs. So my strain may be best for current situation and just find higher yielders. The dry sift rosin can be abundant so I still have pure product.

Lastly it can still pull contaminants so its not as easy straight forward as I thought at first. It is but its a new method to dip into if needed.

Really personal preference I need something decent abundant to dab on and a few pure dabs end of day. Washing a ib and half idk. I still think I got a decent gig as is but its interesting. Id like to try live qwiso.

Just openly thinking I mean, Ive been pressung for over a year and thought for a sec Im missing out on better methods. They say people will press out of love which is true but not because it makes sense. I disagree.

On my scale it does. Its not quite enough to wash bubble. I yield 14% altogether but if I find 20% from flower rosin alone Im good. Id need a super unicorn for a bubble rosin only op of 25 square ft flower space.
