Endless Sky

You see Kitty- I spoke the truth about the strain. Dr. Greenthumb employees/family who post here have a lot to lose as the reputation on this strain continues to spread. It's lost something in the past few years- and as I reported earlier- I believe the original parents are gone and Doc is breeding again looking for the lost magic. This is "C" grade weed now and I know of about 200 strains I'd grow out before this. Some people just have to try for themselves. I've encouraged people - WHO RECENTLY GREW THIS OUT- to post something positive and it always "I grew it years ago and it was great". Well, maybe, but it's a bust now. Then add the way expensive cost of these particular seeds. Run from this strain people or get ready to be pissed about the final quality. And thanks kitty- I feel redeemed!
you make a couple of good points. although i have nothing to lose, i'm not a friend/employee, lol. it has been a few years since i grew it last, so something could have easily happened to the original if he kept no mother etc. you're right, doc's beans "are" pretty pricey! good stuff, but a bit overpriced.

No one wanted it to be great more than me.....I spent the money and took the 3.5 months to grow it out. That's why I was so pissed- I wasted time and therefore, it cost me money. People were returning it- no one was happy with it. I got tired of "giving the speech". I know much of Doc's other stuff is first rate- I read many favorable reports. I was just on the ANTI-E.S. KICK.

i've posted in this thread already, but for the sake of a great strain, i'll post again. endless sky is an "awesome" strain!!! you just have to be very careful when feeding! e.s. is extremely nute sensitive. increase feed strength slowly. it is a very light feeder and easily burned by overfeeding!!!
Just had it tested:es 3.jpg

Just like we thought........nothing special anymore. What's impressive about a rating of less thc 16%? You guys rate it 4.5 out of 5 in potency in your description- you may want to rethink that (but I know u won't).

Now this below is impressive, not your bunk:

Test was 70 but our club is going to make it a requirement to have all meds tested. There is alot of garbage out there. It coulda tested higher. I will get another test done in a few more months.

Add me into the group having issues with endless sky but its grower error on my part i had been feeding her way too high Ph water:?

She would start off nice then all of a sudden she would start to suffer my brother grew out some of my beans and it grew awesome in his garden so i feel its more of a touchy sensitivity issue with this strain .

As for Dr Greenthumb and Greenthumb seeds hes always been helpfull with growing tips i also ran his arcata cut trainwreck his bubba katsu and his iranian G13 and have been very happy SSHZ you sound like your a rival seed bank employee planting hate posts trying to hurt Docs reputation but Ive seen proof positive in my garden that hes one of the best breeders Ive ever bought from.

Nope. If you read thru everything, you notice I don't knock Doc, except for the Endless Sky. His other stuff is fine, though expensive, and I state that. If you do your research, you'll see plenty of complaints about the strain, not just me.........

SSHZ has way too many other useful posts here to be a rival seed bank employee........... There's a difference between knocking a product down because they are profiting from a competing product, and providing useful information based on experience. ;)

I grew the ES last feb. Lady at dr gt said it was great for beginners and easy to grow. Grow went great. Vegged for two months, got three to 4 oz per plant. Buds were big and a little on the airy side.

The stone was not all that impressive otherwise I would grow it again.
I still have some in a jar thats been curing for over 6 months. Still smells somewhat like alfalfa.

Let's see.......Large, airy buds with an average buzz that smell like hay. EXACTLY like mine if you go back and read my review. Another happy customer! NOT

It's also not about growing it correctly. Many very experienced growers have given up on the strain because it's just not worth it anymore. Yes, it's a bit touchy about nutes early on but that's about it......... Dr. GreenThumb's policy is "Just blame it on the grower" if it doesn't turn out well.

When they admit the strain isn't what it used to be and there are a lot of complaints about the strain now- I'll drop my E.S. rants and never post another comment about it- but not until then!!!!

And at $225 for 11 seeds- they ought to be shot. Personally, I'd love to try some of his other strains. But I refuse to do business anymore a company that can't be honest with their customers or themselves.

"I hate to admit it, with all my negativity but today is 9 weeks flowering and I chopped an average size bud, light and hairy(white) but loads of resin. It was dehydrated for about 3 hours in a beef jerky dehydrator. IT FUCKED ME UP. One nice size bong hit is all I did. It's very potent. EXTREMELY strong. So, if you are willing to put up with all the other stuff- potency is an area you won't have to worry about. Signing of til harvest time......"

You seem to contridict yourself a bit........

The seeds back then, are far from the seeds you get now. You spent soooooo much time researching a quote to take out of context from SSHZ, you didnt even read this thread that had mentioned that already. :( I do recognize, though, Dr Gruber, that you are a Greenthumb fan as indicated by your The Dope and Oh Zone journals. Two other strains that have no relation to Endless Sky. The problem with ES, to bring you up to speed, is that the flowering time WAS 42 days, IS NOW 56 days, as a result of them losing their genetics and trying to still scrap seeds out the door. It hurt their customers, their reputation, and I frankly wont buy from them again after having had nothing but mediocre plants from their genetics.

The weed from ES WAS GREAT, now IS GOOD, but it isnt AWESOME, and thats what we want to grow. :)

Well, it was the very first time I smoked it. And I'm sure you know- the first time you smoke something new- you get high, at least for a short while. And I was high. The problem was the next 100 times. They claim it's super potent- but it's really just average. Not terrible, not great- just average.

I dont think youre right about that...that quote was from this grow SSHZ did, not an old one. It didnt take much time at all to find it because i was following it on another site and i certainly didnt take it out of context...in fact i asked him that on page 4 of this thread and he never answered me...thats all.
And, yes The Dope does have a realtion to ES, as it is ES X Chumaluma.
Its true Im a fan of Greenthumb but have never tried the ES so you may be right or you may be just believing an internet rumour about Doc loosing the ES. People just tend to run with what they hear sometimes and spread it around without any proof. I make no claims either way on that.
As for awesome genetics...i wouldnt be growing docs stuff if I wasnt getting awesome smoke. Im sure i wont like them all but his Bubba OG is outstanding and so are a few others Ive tried.

It just seemed odd to go from "extremly strong" to "it sucks" without any explanation.

I have had this phenomenon.
When I run out of bud before a harvest. The first samples seem extremely good.
Or when I smoke to much of a strain An build up tolerance to it it seems week.

But I share a bowl with folks an they rave how good it is.
An you remember it was like that when i first smoked her.....

It is potent. Almost too potent. SSHZ falls more into a beginner grower. As you can see from his posts. So as you see ES is for the advanced grower. His only goal in these forums is to be the know it all who has grown it and done it all. Ignore his posts Becuase nothing useful comes from them. His idea of a good grow is to pile 50-60 plants under a few thousands. If he were such a gardener he wouldn't be complaining every time he make a post (almost) every time. His own coments about things are often anger driven as you can read his own coments.
Sad as it is, it's only a plant. But instead of educating himself on the strain he CONTINUOUSLY downs Dr. Greenthumb and calls people who like ES employees of Greenthumb. Sad
