Electricity question

What do you think the power bill would be if I went from running 4 4oo watters at 110 volts to 2 400's and 2 1000's at 220v? any help woud be great. thanks for the input.:neutral:

About the same as with the 120v..it's about the same as doing an extra dryer load per day..what gets you popped is the massive increases..4 x 400w..at 120 = 2 x 400w at 240..might even draw less, depending if you're piggybacking on stove or dryer lines, or running an independent line.. We had a 220v line istall in my old house for $150.00 (safely, by electrician)..told him it was for our 3000w band PA system..it was ....partly....hee hee

Check my sig. Also give overhead for the ballasts. my 400W adds about 50W more, So the bulb (400W) add the ballast (50w) is 450W.
