Easy solution for root rot = soil?

If my plants are dying and I can't find any known-to-work beneficial bacteria products and ordering takes too much time, can I stick them into the soil? Is it going to help with the root rot? Please give me your opinion.

replant them . and mix the soil with 50/50 with perlite and soil. never have root rot again . not matter how drunk or stoned you are when you water its almost impossible to get root rot. because the soil with breath and water has drainage . also turn your temps up after you transplant them to dry it up quickly.

I was in the exact same boat as you last week. It's been a week since i transplanted to soil and they've doubled in size. I expected at least a week of nothing after cutting off half of the rotted roots but they were pumping not long after hitting the soil. I also looked at the beneficial bacteria method after wasting my time with h202 but it was gonna take too long to arrive.

Thanks, thats encouraging!

Did you remove your plants from their original net pots before transplanting?
How much perlite did use with the soil mix?
Ph at 6.0 or...?
Any other additives that you used with soil?

if u use h2o2 you will have to use it for the rest of your grow. I'm willng to bet your rot is caused by poor aeration or high temps.

I have tried everything else I could to get my hands and eyes on. Started several threads, got a lot of good info. Now is the time to replant them into soil, otherwise they will die. It all started because of light leakage. For some short time everything was nice and green (thanks to peroxide) but later it came back and escalated bad...

Im just about to replant them into coco with a lot of perlite in it.

The netpots went in the soil, unnecessary stress taking them out, i just let the top layer of hydroton fall out before i put them in

I'm usually a coco grower but i'm on a hard budget now so i need to do this grow with soil. I just used a budget potting mix and added 1 part perlite to 5 parts soil, i would have added more but i'm running low on perlite. I also use dolomite lime for cal/mag and as a ph buffer for the soil. I waterd with ph 7 water and a light dose of blood and bone nutes, 6 is more of a hydro/coco ph.

I hope you try DWC again though, the growth rate is insane when it goes right. The only reason mine went wrong, even though i had a water chiller and treated with h202 every time, was the fact that i couldn't clean my shitty fragile bucket setup properly. Pretty sure it'll be problem free next time.

EDIT: people also mentioned air pumps. I had a 6w airpump in a 10 gallon system, that was another
contributing factor to my issues.

Yep... had same problem with my DWC grow.
3 plants ... each in 8 inch net pots with hydroton... each 8 inch net pot in its own 22 gallon bucket... 14 gallon reservoir recirculating through 1.5 inch pipe...
2 weeks into veg (plant about 18" tall)..,. sludge/root rot... !!!! :cuss:

Tried all types of techniques for about 2-3 days but no luv...

Ran to store grabbed a few smart pots and some FrogMix and planted them.

They perked up in about 6 days and did GREAT...!!!!
