This looks awesome FrozenChozen! Going to whip one up when I start cloning soon.

I just have a couple questions... Apologies in advance if they've been asked already.

What size is that bucket you have there? I'm in Australia so I may need improvise a bit. It looks like it's 2.6 gal (10 litre) or 5 gal (20 litre). I'm thinking 5 gal might be a bit tall. I have about 10 x 2.6 gal buckets with lids all over the place so I think I'll just use one of them.

And is this bit just a way to hold the airline in place? It's the only thing I'm thinking wth is this for lol

Found these on ebay, not bad for $6 AUD delivered (if they are the right ones): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Exclusive-100-Pcs-Toy-Gun-Bullets-Darts-Refill-Round-Blasters-For-Nerf-N-strike-/262000710304

They are the Nurf bullets, and that pic it to hold your pipe on the bucket. Just for tidyness.
I made one off a 250 ml cup lol you can as big as you wantor as small.
It's easier to do it in a two to three liters tubs like ice cream not too much water so its easier to move, refill and control the bubbles better.
This was my final ditch to clone...
I'm not sure if it works coz I failed in cloning lol, my errors I think...so I just stick to seeds.
Remember to put a hole for air to come out on the lid when you make it.
Mine bubbled over like pasta boiling with the bloody lid on.
Hope it helps

Container size isn't important as long as you can produce violent bubbles, frothy foaming bubbles are the best....
This setup mimics Aeroponics and aims for 100+% humidity and darkness in the "rooting" area. Add in a clear cover to trap extra humidity at leaf level. So try to accomplish that on whatever scale fits you....

I have a friend using this style cloner in a "Gatorade" bottle....

@PetFlora
you may think its easier or better or more simple, that wasn't the point of the thread.... The point was $20 and an everyday visit to wally-world. no tools are really needed to make this, and that's what I was going for. Not everyone wants to go to the grow store for net pots, and then the pet store for air stones and a pump, then to walmart for a tote, and finally to the hardware store to buy a DRILL AND 3" HOLE SAW....
I chose to showcase a method that does not require ANY specialty tools, unless you consider a pentel RSVP ink pen and nerf darts "specialty tools"...
Just because I'm curious, how much did EVERYTHING you used to make that cost? I bet just the HOLE SAW cost $20.....
So, long story short YES I do mind, but only because your cloner is NOT AT ALL within the spirit of this guide. I appreciate your ideas but again this is not a
"toss together" disposable kind of cloner....
Harbor Freight, bro. You can get a whole hole saw kit for maybe $13 or less. I could never bring myself to cut perfectly good Nerf darts, but I turned old, jacked up flip flops into 2" plugs. I like knowing that I can make much smaller plugs thanks to your post. I've made a couple pro 5 gallon cloners with grow shop plugs, but I save all my compact ice cream tubs "just in case".

they might not look as good, but they'll fit on my shelf and they're fun as hell to make.

The craziest cloner I've ever made was with a plastic child's wading pool, about 6' across and about 18" deep. I used rock wool, gravel, a piece of clear plastic to cover it and Stimroot number two powder. I covered it with about 320 watts of 4' cool white tubes. This bin could do 150 snips at a time with room for more.

thanks, the idea was intended for a compact space, but the application can still be used on a much bigger level. A good friend of mine uses sterilite shoe tubs with about 50 sites, he orders 100 packs of nerf darts for about $12 and swears by them.... Shit, I'll swear by 'em too:bigjoint:... personally I like the coffee can because its only about 1.5 liters filled to the brim, it has a handle, when stored it easily contains everything you need to clone a plant, and if I end up throwing it out its no big deal!

with the $80 you spend on your ebay job, I can build 4 of these and have tons of darts to spare....
to me $80 on a cloner seems wasteful, when the $20 model is just as good, if not better
Not even close to better. Close maybe but def cheaper. I had a 48 dite easy cloner that was like 250 i think.

bubble cloners are a wast of money what ever happen to the old heat pad and rock wool cubes i still get roots quicker then my mate that spent near on 90 bucks on a bubble cloner always 4 days max for me and i dont use any clonex

Come on i call bs. U dont see roots coming out of rockwool in 4 days. The fastest i have saw roots in an easy cloner was 3 days but only a couple of 48 by day 10 they are usually all ready to transplant.
Not saying u are lying but i can bet that not one person will believe roots in 4 with rockwool.
Im running an aero flo and u want bare root cuttings in most hydro applications, excluding ebb n flo where i have saw people using only rockwool before.
I do use rw for all seeds tho.
