I had a bad infestation a few years back, a family member who works with plants told me how to take care of it.

You will need, a cup/water/dishwashing liquid/white vinegar.

Then its as simple as putting the cup in your grow area near the gnat infestation. They cannot resist the smell of vinegar (rotting fruit) and the moment they develop wings they are flying straight to the cup to get trapped and die. You need to refresh the suds daily (they dissipate).

Keep a fresh cup inside the infested area until you no longer see dead gnats.

I treat all my new soil this way. As soon as I get it home, I bust it open and nestle a cup inside the bag. Within a few days, if there are gnats inside, they are all dead.

Yea Yea Yea, its 1909 again. Put some plastic wrap over the top and put holes in it with a fork. Gants go in but can’t come out. This is new how?

Thanks a lot Althor for this post.

Thanks for the idea! sounds good and easy, and I hope it works. I like the idea of putting it in the bag of soil before you even plant, that is a good idea.

Neem seed oil, Dish soap, water, Cayenne Pepper.

Fucks shit up.

Or just put a layer of perlite on top of your soil... about 1/2 inch thick.... the perlite cuts into the bodies of the bugs and they die trying to get to and from the soil.

Yeah, I ignored it but since you quoted it, weird he is so upset and mad about something like this.
Pretty much everything online has been used and re-used and copy/pasted yet somehow this gets under his skin.
Oh well, tough shit. Get over it.

I have used sand and perlite both in the past. The only issue I had with it was it made watering messy and a pain in the ass.

generally, in flowering stage lower leaves gets yellow. There is nothing wrong
the other problem might be inadequate light for that leaves

Hi Thanks For this info, Noticed my gnats are starting to get out of controll, Though no dmg to the plant , i dont like them near my ladies :D

Im Trying Brown viniger since i dont have White. Im Not Sure what the differnce is . Since Brown Viniger Is Actually Differnt In Alot of countries and even the wiki doesnt contain it, Brown viniger could be Malt, apple cider, balsamic and even rice vinegar. Having Read the label though, i think my type is malt as its the same ing just with added colour.

Edit-Found Out From a cook that my brown viniger is White viniger with colour. Exact same process.

Edit 2- How long did it take your Gnats To Go For the Mixture? Mine DOnt seem very interested (1 hour plus atm)
