I saw a youtube vid yesterday where a guy topped his 3rd node. Would that be too soon? Should you wait & top the 4th node?

u should check out Uncle Ben's topping technique, a really excellent read. i have toppied above the first node above the cotyledon and ended up with 2 colas and great yield. Ben can show u how to do it different ways. i think this is the address, GL

One more question. Would you top during mid day, before lights go out or right after the lights come on? Or does it even matter? (i'm usually overthinking it)

haha i topped the 2nd node and it worked great. its younger then the bigger plant next to it in the bucket but i topped the bigger one at the 5th node. both are super bushes. i topped at 2nd node and i topped the top of the other top that came out. so theres 3 tops. check it out

Yeah. If I may insert my valuable knowledge here. I would say just cut plants at different nodes and see how they respond you could always top the new growth if you want more. Hope this is helpful. View attachment 2198303

i've nipped the third node to start the topping, to keep it low to the ground. if ya want a hedge.......start early.
