so this is the first time i started my plants indoors, under a couple cfls at 18/6. when i brought them out in early April they started to flower, i guess because they went from 18 hours light to around 13 hours. Its now mid may and they are still flowering they have maybe 1/2 inch buds on them, what should i do, pluck the buds or wait it out ? :blsmoke:

Wait it out...As the summer continues they should reveg. And those buds that have started early will be very potent once you harvest.

those buds will stretch and branch ou like crazy. i do it to all my outside plants before i put them out just so i dont have to go back to top them. they do not last all season and become super potent......theyll get funky looking but will end up fine.

Good to know! I'm doing my first outdoor grow as well and started freaking out when I saw little white hairs on my babies.

Yes harvest the buds as this material will only rot on the plant. When it goes back to veg in about two weeks the new growing shoots will come from lower on the plant (you will see the them) ,basically cut the plant back to the new veg growth and add some nitrogen. What happened was you put them out too early and they started flowering due to long nights, next time put them out in May to avoid this.

BUDS is correct on this one.
I would suggest cleaning all the material off of the plants. They will rot and stunt the next flowering phaze.
You may want to match your indoor veg cycle with the outdoor light cycle, just get a farmers almanac.
Once you match your cycles it is cool to put them out.

I agree, although the genetics come into play as well. I matched my mid may daylength from germination...8 strains, 2 of them are flowering outdoors now. Guess they flower at about 14 hrs 8 min, the same as early august times. Hope they figure it out here in the next couple of weeks. :)

I ended up putting my plants back under lights. I will put them back out in June and probably never put my plants out before that again.

This is weird, i had the same problem too this year. but out of all the plants that were planted at the same time, only the two that were the same genetics did it. same different mother didn't do it.
