early harvest??? what happens

My first grow not very big buds but i dont smoke much. i just wanted to see if i can grow nice bud. i didnt know there would be so much to know. but i love it and i will like to start another one after. so my question is what happens if harvest early. i have to go on a trip and i will be gone week or so. way to long to leave. the one person in the world i trust will be with me. so i leave it and hope its good or harvest. the buds get bigger every day. also i think the light will burn it. have to move light every 3 days or so.

go to home depot and get some aqua bulbs and use those while you are gone for a week. do not harvest early you are just wasting your time and effort. give the plant its time to finish.

o damn man with that pic u should wait at least 4 or 5 weeks to think about cuttin it down early

really that long left. i was thinking there getting close. 4 or 5 more weeks they will be huge. (more is better. i didnt think i would get this much)

hey man that looks alot like my skunk witch is in its 2nd week of flowering, it really needs atleast 8 more weeks to finish. Def. 4 more weeks to get letgit buds. Can you put your lights on a timer? Its pretty easy to set up.

and not only are they getting bigger but each week the become more potent

ya thats way to early prolly wouldnt even get high off it. just water it right before you leave and get some of them self plant watering bulb thingies the other guy mentioned stick it in there. it will prolly be dry when you get back and looking a little rough but water and it should recover. if it dont you can just harvest then and atleast itll have another week done

wow on the replies thanks alot. didnt think about the plant bulbs thing. now if i pull the light a way so they dont burn. will they grow two fast.

yeah that plant looks likes like its 2 weeks into flowering, if tie it down with LST. Even out the canopy so the light gets to all the plant

ok well back from vacation. still looking strong. i thank you all who post . i put the light really high so they wouldnt burn, i dont think i needed to go so high but better safe then sorry. i cant wait to the next grow, i will do a few things diff. i think its going to be a small plant. the leaves seem to all be bunched up. hope that means a tight bud. any advice would help

Finished buds will be covered in visible frosted chrystals and will have red or orange hair like pistils.. not green or white like the ones on your plant currently.

If you can find a way to get some lights
lower, along the sides of the plants,
those small buds may fatten up some.

Those look like they still need at least another four or five weeks. What strain is it and what lights do you have it under? I agree with the dude who posted before me, supplemental lighting on the side would help a lot. Just some simple CFL lights on the side would do.

they are just bag seeds. i am using 5 100 watt cfl and 1 40 (2 6500k and 3 2700k)
tgis being my first and all i didnt think of light on the side but deff putting lights next time.

u dont have to put lights on the side , another way of getting those buds down low to get big is just to harvest the top colas"when ready" and then cut it down to the lower branches and let them grow out

not all your bud will be ready at the same time the top colas are allways ready first coz they get the most light.
