Earliest possible plant age for STS application

I've used my own home made CS for years to reverse plants. A friend recently sent me the goods to make my first test batch of STS.

Haven't found a consensus on how young a plant STS can be applied to. For the below, lets assume either known good fem seed or known female clone.

- 12/12 from seed and spray the day they sprout?
- Freshly rooted clone, spray then put into 12/12?
- Freshly rooted clone, veg a week, spray and flower?
- Seed growing a week, spray and flower?
- Veg the plant for two weeks? Three?
- Wait for pre-flowers (some of my strains don't show until 12/12)

I've got plenty of plants to test with and am always producing clones, but thought I'd ask experienced STS users for their insight before I mix up my solutions.

Spray when the plant shows sex, its too immature to spray before that. STS is hard on plants your likely to ruin young plants by spraying too early.
