Dynaponics

I was watching Science Channel and they had a bit about Dynaponics.
Looks to be a major improvement over true aeroponics. Uses air pumps to deliver nutients. Google it. Interesting reading.:leaf:

This deserves some more attention. I saw the same or similar program where they were having success with lettuce.
Its a twist on aeroponics. Air is blown through tubes which are near the surface of the water, splashing and misting upwards onto the roots. Should require less energy than aeroponics because moving air is much easier than water, but still result in aeroponics rapid growth. This system was developed to lower the temperature of the water on the roots by eliminating the warming effect of the pump, resulting in healthier roots.

Similar to DWC and not perfect, but... its how our children will be growing pot

Its just an airtable the oldest form of hydroponic cultivation. Air forces nute solution upward splashing it into root zone. Extreme low maintenance and easy construction. these were quit popular in the early 90's.

hmmm...

Isn't that action kind of what the krusty bucket does in the chamber below the drip fed medium?

P.S. AN's wet betty is awesome for blowing bubbles!

isnt this just a dwc with a big air pump. if it is it is the way most dwc works out at the surface. Bubbles popping. The thing is it works for cloning and small root systems but to get it to work for long mj roots is hard to imagine. Imagine the massive amount of bubbles it would take! Then again, as I type I am kinds excited. Like a 50 gallon rubbermaid with a six inch pool of water on the bottom and a system of air bars. Need a lot of air power.

need a lot more water than that

sounds like a particular way of doing the same thing, although slashing into the root structure sounds pretty effective.

no I actually was picturing high velocity elements just being embedded into roots
pretty sure this sounds like well designed dwc

...or aero.

But why/how is more oxygen better...

Than the aerated water of DWC?

Is uptake somehow aided by the... 'lightness' of the water particles thrown at a root system?
