dr green dre - it is actually just bag seed, this was basically a test run to see if i can handle a 400w. any suggestion for genetics i am going to start a new crop around 1st of the year.

student121 - love the charts, huge help. Mine is the open reflector i want to upgrade to a cool tube so badly for my next grow. any suggestion for genetics as well?

i have been looking at greenhouse seed company, i know they are higher priced but i have heard good things and i dig their mix packages of feminized.

hi there bassplayer for genetics i am stuck on that too at the mo was thinkin to see what wins the hightimes cup this year and take it from there but i also am lookin into these strains at the mo

Next Generation Seed Company ----grapegod
The Green House Seed Company ------super lemon haze
Serious Seeds--------------white russain

stuck on them
at the mo might do super lemon haze but like also to do grapegod stuck......

p.s coz i live in the uk every1 around eres stuck on cheese but its all crossed with other stains to me cheese is not all that as i have had the proper cheese which is a staiva and think super sliver haze is better but thats me.....

i was able to visit amsterdam over the summer and everyone loved cheese. i have been looking into the super lemon haze. i figure two wins in a row has to mean something.

i have a hard time not going the route of the greenhouse 5 sativa mix with Super Silver Haze, Arjan's Strawberry Haze, Arjan's Haze #1, Neville's Haze, Hawaiian Snow. Hawaiian snow looks incredible just has a really long flower time something like 11 weeks.

I mainly work with cheese but I loved the Super Silver haze bud ..Its a tall plant so beware .

Jack the Ripper-TGA (5*) ***smoke
Ak48-nirvana (3.5*) Fatt colas
Chronic-serious(4*) Fatt colas
Super Silver haze(5*) ***smoke
Cheese-clone (5*)**smoke

I'd choose any of those again in fact the only thing i aint grown again is Jack cause they dont come fem last time I missed a male one that i relocated into another room and bang had seeds in my bud.Dont rate the Arjans Stwbry Haze as mine and mates seed did the same thing died. Mix it up a bit as your going to get used to one type to quick espeacially if your curing the bud.

yeah i am not totally aware of the correct curing process, usually with our outdoor we would cut and trim and put in paper bags in a closet keeping an eye on humidity, then usually after around 10 to 14 days we would move to mason jars and alternate every twelve hours or so with lids on and off, for at least a week. is this process totally wrong? if so what is a good curing process and is it really worth the extra weeks?

Im no expert on curing:) ,only cured the haze and a little bit of cheese for the first time ,i just opened for 10-15 mins twice a day and turned the buds for the first couple days .The extra weeks must do something good but i may do it properly when i have all my strains harvested.

so i have it to either super silver or super lemon haze. i atleast want to get one seed of either i think the mix packs from greenhouse may be the way to go. it just would be nice to be able to sample some of their best and their Hawaiian snow looks incredible.

saw the first sign of pistils on one of my plants this morning!! the other has not shown signs of either gender yet, keeping my fingers crossed.

Because of my tent & fans I run a 250W and can actually keep it 6" off the tops and it will not burn. No air cooled reflector just a standard cheap wing style

1 female, 1 male....thinking about breeding because i really like the characteristics that both plants have. i know it's pretty risky but any one have any experience with breeding?

Why not take clones from each plant & flower under a Floro for seeds and at the same time take the Female all the way? you obviously want to keep them in separate rooms

problem is i have no room for another chamber, i have lollipopped the male so there are only about 4 flowering stems and have tied the female to allow for more light. My real good buddy has done some breeding in the same chamber and suggested: letting it go for another 2 weeks possibly and pulling it, clipping a stem, placing stem in water to allow the pollen sacs to open and collect the pollen and apply to a smaller female flower.

BP9512, how old are the plants ?
I wait until the male is at least 7 - 10 days bloom, then I remove him.
Clip 3 or 4 good branches off the MAIN stem at a 45 degree angle, and stick them in a cup of plain water on top of some wax cooking paper to collect the pollen.
The great thing is you don't need much to make a lot of seeds.
You don't need anymore light either, so you can set the cup and wax paper anywhere you want where there is no breeze.
I put my pollen in seperate "sacks" of wax paper, and store them in the "vault" with my seeds in the refridge with LOTS of dessicants.
Freeze them to make them last longer.
But once you thaw a pack of pollen, it's longer able to be refrozen.
Turn off all fans in the grow room, and paint the pollen on your selected buds with a model car paint brush or something small like that.
Wait at least 1 - 2 hours, then take a spray bottle of plain water and mist the buds you pollinated.
This will kill any rogue/left over pollen before you turn the fans back on.
Keep in mind you may still end up with a seed or 2 here and there from this action.
You can use twist ties, like on bread, to mark which branches you pollinated.
I'm sitting on a ton of Gorilla Grape pollen right now from a year ago.

flo grow thanks so much for the info, my plants are at 10 days in so i will go ahead and pull it today and start the process of the pollen collection. i am really excited about this because my male has some really tight node spacing and the female absolutely exploded when i put her into flowering. my female at first i figured would not make it and in the matter of a week it passed my make that was looking great. thanks so much for the info!

Hello, I havve been growing for about 1 weed and 1 day and I just started having trouble yesterday. They have been all green but yesteday a few leaves started to turn yellow and curl up and down. It is kinda wierdin me out.
I have 6 plants in dwc with a drip system running.
The ph is 5.8-6.0 depending on the color of ph tester
Temp when light is on is around 75-85 when lights off 70-75
I use Flora Nova veg and bloom in a 10gall tank (this is where i get confused) i was told to use 1/4 nuts. It says on the bottle us 1/2 teaspoon per gal so i used 1/8 teaspoon per gal. Is that right?
I have it on a 18 on 6 off timer

any info will help ty!! and here are some pics!!

SWC your plants look pretty nice they are probably suffering from nutrient deficiency, the half dose is for right after germination and you see the roots branch, after about a week of that you can go full power. i start mine is soil for about week and a half then transplant to hydro. I would try upping your nutrient level. i wish i used the same nutes as you and could give more input, unfortunately i use fox farm right now.

but from my experience that is for sure nute deficiency. it is a very easy symptom to overcome. if i were in your spot i would just add 3 teaspoons (giving you a half teaspoon per gallon for an 6 gal res). you can either mix it in a gallon and slowly add or just mix it into about a quart of water and add it all at once. The reason for doing this mix is so you do not over feed your plants because they are not yellow all over, just around the bottom. this would indicate its getting nutrients to your growing tip but enough for the whole plant. REMEMBER THOUGH IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO UNDER FEED THAN OVERFEED. nutrient burn can not be undone.
