Hello everyone! It's officially 09 and hopefully things will be better than 08. One can only hope.
As for the resolutions, There really aren't any. Or maybe they are just a lot smaller. I know that in this year I plan on getting great on DWC growing!! Well I hope all of you are safe and back on RIU to keep growing.

Yup I stayed home and brought the new year in with riu..best one in awhile although i fell asleep around 930 hahaha it was nice to wake up in my own bed lmao.. im going to take it easy this year. and smoke bud.

trying to troubleshoot a dwc cloner. Used RO water with ph of about 5-6. Has massive airstone area (6) and an aquarium heater to keep the water at about 75-78
the next day immediately noticed white "slime" and the water is cloudy. Thought the water may be cloudy like when you first set up fish tanks so I left it alone. Then for a couple days couldnt figure out if the "slime" was hair like roots forming on the cuts.
Today I stuck my hand in it and brushed all the slime loose from the airstones and the bottom of the container and now there are big patches of it floating around.
Design is almost identicle to the DIY 80 site aerocloner on here......uses a very shallow long rubbermaid. Top is foil taped to keep light off water.
I guess I expected algea to have a greenish/yellowish tint and not build up so fast.......
Dumped 1 liter of 3% hydrogen peroxide in attempt to clean up water.......container holds nearly 8-9 maybe 10 gallons of water.........
Dont know what is what and what to expect or do. Have micro adjusted ph with actual ph up and ph down to a very close 6.0 other than that and the Hydrogen Peroxide and the heater.......nothing else in water.
This is an attempt to rectify first attempt at dwc cloning.........tap water was room temp and about 8.0 it originaly busted 6 clones in a week and then since then all cuttings are in a "dormant stage" no roots no death. Did all these fixes and got slime.

sorry bro i have never had any white slime develope in my tubs or buckets...
Im going to imagine that the more people make shit more complicated by putting ro water and all these supplements to correct and counter correct problems all the other supplements cause than this is the shit that happens.
I use str8 up tap water bro. never had a problem.really dont like adding any chemicals to my water other than the food supplements i feed my plants..Peroxide will prolly fix ur problem...but if i was u id search white slime in the tab up top to see how people have fixed this problem..

the ro comes off the tap, you just use the drinking spigot instead of the sink spigot. had to try something else........cuttings were sitting for 3 weeks no root no death. That isnt acceptable in my eyes.
Im lost as to what it would be but like I mentioned........a liter of 3% went in today........hopefully it tackles the situation.

happy new years dwc....sorry bout yesterday. right after i posted bout my burn problem, i had to leave to go to the liquor store to get ready for the massive party i had. and yes i had a good time.
update and the lady of my life.
i trimmed almost 90% of the dead leaves. the light was about 3-4 inches away for the tops. it only 150w . but the fan i had blowing across the bulb took a shit. i cant move the light because i'm out to grow space. i think i might just put in a dark period for 24hrs to see what happens. hopefully she'll recover and and i can harvest the 2grams of bud ... but it was bag seed and i gained alot of learning experience.
she bout in week 5 of flower.

Fukk it man...Like u said u learned alot. Start veg earlier bro next time. It doesnt hurt to even start at 7 inches like im currently doing.
utilize ur space and lighting by growing more plants in the same amount of space to compensate for yield.

no bro, have soft water system for the house, then to pull the salts out of it it goes thru an undersink ro system for drinking water........Its litteraly such a difference that tap water is 8 ph and ro is just over 5
