Hey ash hows it going happy valentines day as well.. will u do me a favor and click on the link in my sig just for a lil luck haha..Pink karma net wont..
I used to use wool ash..I wish u would be the first person to try my idea out about my peat plugs.. Oh yea i documented grow time it took only 2 days to get roots in my rez this time ..Ur never going to be able to do that with wool i promise not until u get a good hang of it and even then ph and over watering issues will always be hanging out to stunt ur seedlings. All u do with plugs honestly is squeeze them out a lil in water..I use tap water myself..ppm already around 400 and ph is close to 6.6.
set ur germed seed..I do mine in a cup in a papertowel with about a half inch of water in the cup..I let that water soak the seed..All the while evaporating and then just keep it moist until u get a tap root..Usually within 3 days on the good beans..Oh yea i just put my cup in the cabinet under the sink and forget about it for the first 2 days..No heat pad..just darkness..
Its simple to transplant them.. when u get that far ill help u with that too.

thanx dl. unfortunately i already ordered the rockwool cubes but i promise on my next grow which should be in about 3 months i will try out peat plugs and of couse i will click on your sig and im sure net will 2. maybe shes just busy rite now.

About the rockwool.
-Can i germinate seed in rockwool?
-Do i have to wait to see roots to place in net cup or can i just place the cube with germinated seed directly into my operating DWC?

Ash i dont need reps..What i need is for u to say something in my thread in my link..
Im hoping the pink lipstick throws some good stuff at me..
Anyway..Yes u can use rockwool in ur dwc system..This is how i did that..

Deffinetely germ ur seeds first and get a tap root..
Make sure u follow all the rules about ph'ing ur water and soaking the wool..Its very important.. They say to soak it for 24 hours i usually went 12..
Its very important to shake the wool out until its only damp. And the trick from there is too only water the wool with about 5-10 ml a day thats it i promise..It will be wet enuff..
back to placement of a germed seed in rockwool..
Ive found even better result by making a lil tear on the wool and setting the root gently down inside the tear.. Button the wool back up but leave the helmet flush with the top of the wool..And set a nice lil cfl about 3-4 inches over it..
I know it sounds crazy but this works the best with wool on the contrary to whatever u may hear..
No reason to feed the water.. However it is benificial to water the hydroton once the roots pop out of the wool.. do this all in the bucket that way the roots got somewhere to want to go instead of popping out of the wool into mid air..They will find the water.
Make sure when u water the hydroton that u dont water the wool..Very important..
5-10 ml a day only on the wool.

Awesome I look forward too seeing it. If u keep ur grow as consistent as possible..
transplant ur plants only once.. keep ur lights on a consistent schedule with no variations and follow the rules ur female ratio will also be more than the males u produce.. its all very simple.. u can talk to them they like that just dont go messing with there environment as much as u can help it u will be fine i promise..
will u include me in ur thesis if it all goes as planned? J/k
Thanks for stopping by my thread too..
it has been written i think i shall get what im after thanks to the great karma u and net and stoney threw at me..
Awesome.

I used rockwool for my current grow. germ'd the seed in wet paper towel then placed in hole of rockwool. easy.
Rockwool is easy not knocking it but there are alot of peeps that just cant get good results with it and the plugs work rather well in the dwc unit too..
Ur right tho wool is easy when used properly much respects bro.

Hello all! Still very busy with things and hope to settle down soon. Doesn't look like that will happen any time soon though. Anyhow... Here are some pics of the unfinished room. Its taking long but it will be looking great soon!

I was @ Lowes yesterday and they had these generic Active Carbon Filters on sale.
A 20 x 25 for $ 2.39 ?? Can this be true? Does it work? So, I took one home and I cut them into 4 x 4 squares, stacked them and measured it, built a box and mounted a fan in one end put the carbon stack in and screwed it to the side of my grow box where I have a hole. No smell this morning. How long well it last is my next question.

Peace
