Also I have another question.... Just a couple of rez changes ago my plants were drinking a lot! I had to top the night after rez change. Now I don't have to top for 2 or 3 days even. WHat gives?!?! How come they aren't drinking a lot anymore?

They go thru stages net.. Mine do this all the time..It could have been that the temps in the room were alot hotter as well and was evaporating the water in ur tubs quicker.

Dl- I have same airpump, and slippers in black lol small world.
AAHHH- the fan question. I had NOT had a fan going in my latest grow, my bathroom light/fan unit blows into grow room. My box isnt 100% sealed but inside seams are duct taped. from floor to ceiling where plywood joins. I do exhaust room every 3 hrs sync'ed with co2 controller. I had 4 plants going into flower with nice stalks, 3 male so gone. No heat issues due to winter and floros. 65-78 deg. So I think fans are good more for heat then stalks. I know it does strengthen stalks, but wasnt nesc in my room. Plus, to think about it, how many pics have you seen here with killer buds that had to be tied down even with fans blowing over plants to strengthen stems?IMO>

not sure if ya'll care but this is how i do my ventilation for an 8'x8'x6' room...you could do this with any size room as well as any size fan and filter....this just works great for me...does all the work needed with one fan....with this setup it will also work for adding cool tubes being the box makes it one big vacum chamber....so all this means all ventilation with just one fan....

things you will need: cardboard box, inline fan, carbon filter, razor blade, scissors, blunt:)

1.get a wardrobe box from uhaul or use the carbon filter box that came with it.

2.cut it to the hieght of your carbon filter

3.cut a good sized hole in your box

4.put your box against your room wall

5.cut the same sized hole in your wall

6.seal the hole

7.put in the carbon filter

8.make the lid

9.put on your fan and exhaust vent

fans are needed...when you plant starts to flower the fans will keep air movin around em...makes sure you have less chance of mold....also with less humidity your plant will produce more resin to try and protect itself from dryin out:)

Flex-good vent system. With winter there is less humidity, so I didnt see a need for one at this time, but when it warms up I do use them regularly. I just think its funny that peeps talk about making stalk thicker and you have to tie it up anyway. They say the same thing happens to trichs when adding uvb light, plant adds trichs to protect from sunburn in sense. I thought it was a normal product of plant dying.

Just to clarify guys, temp today was only 44f and Relative Humidity 37% That is pretty good for flower. Higher humidity gives more chance to bud rot we all hate that. So I really didnt need one yet. Well my work here is done for now so I will chat with you guys later- enjoy your weekends!

After much work and a whole lot of cleaning, I have a condensed home for the plants. I'll take pics very soon and post later. The room is staying at around 75 - 78. I need a way to vent. Inline fan from the depot will have to wait until tax return. Until then it's all up to Diy shit around the house.

Ok clubbers got something very important to share..
Been busy all day building a new DIY carbon scrubber.
Went to target got a 20" box fan A carbon/air purifier standard ac filter..I liked this one cuz it had an activated carbon pad on one side.
Laid the filter over the fan and traced it and sowed it up.
Dumped my Marineland premium activated carbon into the sowed filter and finished sowing the last corner.
I set the fan on top of an old laundry basket and set the new carbon filter over ther fan very simple process.
The fact of the matter is it only took 5 minutes until all complete smell of my sog was gone entirely!!!

I think its critical for people dealing with vent issues to set one of these up in the room so u can stealthly vent the air in the room without detection..
Im taking out all these stinky damn air fresheners now.
Please build one it cost me 70 dollars total and got all the stuff at target and petsmart...
Heres some pixels

I'm switching out from growing in a 8 gallon tub to a 5 gallon bucket. I have two female plants in their 2nd week of flowering and each will have their own bucket.

Can anyone provide a link that goes over the basic? ie water level, air stones Or can someone provide the basic?

Many thanks!

When you say you set the filter over the fan.... Where exactly is it placed? front? Back?
Net is was so simple I almost want to slap somebody right now!

I set the filter right over the outlet side of the fan.. I swear THE smell is entirely gone haha I can barely smell the air fresheners right now so ill prolly leave them in haha.
Im not even in the room and being in the living room the air seems crisp.
Im going to enclose the girls no and just blast air in and out at this point..
I have to wait on an ac unit everything is seasonal for now im sticking to my ac vent and cool air from outside haha..
My girls look alot better too things are starting to look up now.

Hey bluey U can go direct to buckets very simply...Id reccomend getting the buckets and 2 30 gallon air pumps and two 12" air stones..
When flowering i leave my water about 2/3 full...The more air u put in the better off the plants will be.. The less water u put in the more air will be in the water.. which helps ur plants better dissolve the food in the mix..

Just get a couple buckets.. Dro stores all sell the black ones. get a couple 5" net pots, cut the whole out and make a notch on the side of the net pot hole to run the air line in..Its very simple bro. I did a diy on a tub and its all the same concept.

you should try puttin it on the intake side of the fan.....scrubs 100% of all the air goin into the fan....if you put it on the exaust side it seems to me some air would blow out the sides...but i love your idea its great...i might try this in a veg room......good for the price....my setup cost a lil more...so if you on a budget this would definately be the way to roll:bigjoint:
