Smitty - yes you're on the right track. As the main root starts to develop, it will grow downward while pushing the seed case up and out of the rockwool. Eventually, the seed case will fall off and the first set of leaves, the round cotyledon leaves, will begin to develop. They will not begin to turn green until they are able to emerge from the hydroton and start getting exposure to the light. Shortly thereafter, you'll see the first set of pointed, jagged leaves start to grow out of the middle of the cotyledons, then you're on your way. The roots will continue to grow downward, with a main tap root searching for water and side branching of the roots starting to develop.

J the cotyledon leaves are they supposed to grow straight out cause right now mine are sort of curved down toward the stem kind of in a upside down u shape should I be worried or no.

Finnish day~83!

I am expecting 1.5 oz from two of them and 2oz from one...
SWEEEEEEEEEET! WOW, I love the silver bullet comparison. I hope Jc gets as good a yeild as you did. I'm hoping for a bud like the big one in your pictures on my satori that looks like a celery stalk.

Also .. Chris, let us know how it smokes please!

Jcom.... did you bring the same grow cabinet? or were you able to obtain more room for the plants to grow upwards at your friends house? How far off is your harvest?

Sorry, I'm back y'all. Been a few days since I'd seen em but luckily my buddy lives close enough I got to stop by. We took the box over in the back of a tall enclosed van. It was a lame ride, but not to far and all went smootly. We've been lowering the nutes over the last week or so by only adding pure R/O water and getting Ph back to 5.8. However, the PPMs have been going do proportionately as we've been adding just the water. They are down in the 450 - 500 range now. I think I'm going to go to full Clearex flush mode starting on Thursday and by Sunday, I will cut the top branches. I'll then drain the Clearex solution and do one last batch of nutes and give the lower branches a chance to catch up for 5 - 7 days, then flush them too. That means that this weekend, the big daddies will likely be going down. However, I'm getting my 30X jeweler's loupe in the mail tomorrow and will be doing some serious trichome inspection. If I don't see a bunch of cloudy trichs yet, things may get pushed back a week or so. I'll let y'all know soon.

Smitty, the cotyledons will eventually turn upward, turn green, and begin to open. Then you'll just begin to see the tips of your first true jagged pot leaves. You're doing just fine, keep us posted.

DADDY - I want to see more shots in the coming weeks as that Satori cures. Are you going to cure them in mason jars? I've heard they really come into their own using this method. A week of hanging air drying, then into the mason jars with fresh air getting circulated in seveal times per day. Mandala says they will be fully cured in 6 -8 weeks! Damn, don't know if I can wait that long, but I'm sure they're all crazy jewel like when they get to that point.

Let's all stay in touch with our various projects.

Well I add a step to the program....I air dry until the out side of the bud is crispy, but the stems are not snapping yet, then I clip all buds off the stem, this includes breaking down the main cola's into many small nugs. Then I drop them into 5 gallon Zip Lock bags. Every day I open them and give them a squeeze, if they are wet at all, I keep the bag open until the out side is dry. When that has occured, I seal the bag back up and give them a quick and gentle "toss". Then the next day I do the same...This step takes about a week, sometimes two, and when they stay dry after sitting in a closed bag for a few days, I then put them into jars to finish the cure....I really don't have to open the jars until it is the day of there departure from my care...The end result is most desirable! Uncompressed, evenly cured balls of resinous ganja...

Daddy - I like that method. I was going to air dry for a week, then go straight to jars, but maybe I'll do the bag thing too. Seems like an easier way to do the "toss".

On another note, I got my 30X jeweler's loupe today and did some trichome inspection. Most trichs are still clear, with maybe a quarter turning cloudy. I could not see a single amber trichome, but it's impossible to get in the back of the box to inspect them all. The buds are looking quite filled out though and red hairs are starting to dominate. However, my 2 "twin tower" buds are still covered with furry white hairs and are looking super chunky!!

To start flush Wed or not??? Start chopping this weekend or not??? Decisions, decisions. I'd like to start seeing a few amber trichs first but... Argh!! Might wait til the weekend to flush and start chopping next week. Guess I don't have anything to lose if there's no amber yet...

OK sounds like something I have seen before! LOL, you have alot of time left J! The buds will just keep on growing, so I would not pull them unless you need to...I flushed for about 16 days with the Satori...It still had quite abit of green left to it at the end of the 83, so it still had some nutes left to burn. Also for the first week of the flush I did use Clearex, and the second week plain ph'd water. Ok the weights are in....
Plant 1~ short compact, no side branches 60 grams
Plant 2~ Medium hight, minimal side branches, 65 grams
Plant 3~ Tall, many side branches 95 grams
three plants...over 7 oz...
I think you should let those ladies finish up and get heavy!!!

DAY 60 FLOWERING

These things are going nuts, I'm a pretty happy camper. Keep in mind that these are all from the one, rear right plant. The other 2 plats are rather pathetic and not doing much at all. They've got some little nugs and I was tempted to chop em, but they've got flowering sites all over and are covered with frosty sugar, so I figure they'll be good for cannabutter. But holy shitballs Batman! The monster plant is just a beast! There are buds everywhere, and everywhere I pull back leaves, I find more boulders, and they all stem back to the rear, right plant. Here's some bud porn:
