Dwarfs in a box

Preflowers are starting now....zoom in and show us the ladies. one is a female for sure.
Zooming in on the 4th node, they all look the same just more or less developed.

I see no calyx there at all.
As i understand it a small rounded growth is expected to develop at that intersection and it will be difficult to determine whether it will be male or female at first but it will eventually shape to be either a ball or open up to grow pistils.

This is the complete opposite of your strain but its all i could find being lazy.
Its shows you the female preflower but this strain is so different from yours , its not going to look identical. The little hairs poking out is female. Yours are not quite poking out yet. Not 100% on yours yet...

I think dwarf/bonsai is easier with tiny tiny pots, and clones.
Some of my genetics will flower 8" above the soil, with no scrog or tie downs. These genetics grow 1-2' from seed, but from clone I can really control the height.
These plants generally only add up to 8-14g each.

Single cola genetics are kinda rare. It's easier to top a clone and make a menorah, with several 1g+ tops.

I also wanna say, in pots as big as you are running, you could probably scrog a single plant and have the same or better yield.... Especially from seed and not clones.

actually , if you zoom in on my pic in the dead center , it looks like a male. not sure why ...crazy angle i suppose , but if you look close , you will see the new branch and a lil male looking sac but its not....its just a crazy plant.

Day 17

It's like they are trying to escape

I am considering training them by tilting the plants as the arrows show.

I hestitate because i like being able to take them out for sunlight.

That would be a good idea. Bend them over , maybe even take a couple big leaves off to get more light to the other nodes. (dont mess with leaves after that)
Another circumstance is that they might be male. I will therefore set this decision aside.

Will get more light tomorrow and see about getting light under the canopy as well.

Day 17

Lst today

Don't want poocorn so i will try to grow out as many 3g budsites as i can.

I messed up with light today and it flickered a few times during the day time as i was negligent in trying out new lights and cooling setup.

Also burned tip or lightburned tips a couple big fan leaves and theb cut off the damaged parts in 2 places.

When i was moving the plants they were droopy and there was hardly any daylight.

They recovered as soon as let them settle in.

9 bulbs now total 139w

Kush does excellent under weak lights and heavy training. You should clone it, and get an even more trained plant!
I will probably finish this grow and start nicole kush as those are feminized, i also want to prepare some autos to set out mid june.

These are bagseed and i already stressed them and i don't expect much

I would like to learn how to train for scrog but i am hestitant to cut anything and want to see how the plant grows and what is what for myself.

I also saw a growlog where banana kush plant did a lot of growing during flower going from 1ft to 6.

Always a good idea to take clones EVERY TIME. You don't know what's special until after its harvested. In a micro grow, clones can mean a 50% increase in yield or more.

I keep mothers at about a 1/5 ratio. You don't want to lose an exceptional cultivar. Plus, it may be ready for flower as soon as the seed is harvested. turning off the flower room is soul crushing... Always have a vegged plant on deck :)

for schedule (redundancy) and posterity, you should always take clones. Plus clones have mature branches close to the ground, they are better than seeds for micro growing imho.

I recently popped 32 seeds with friends, we kept 4 mothers only... The mothers were the best of 32. That's a 20% yield increase at least.

Suppose i grow out as much of these lower nodes as possible for a week and what is too small to bud i can use for clones?

These plants aren't flowering much yet right;
as there is no flower development, can i switch to 18-6 for a week? They are 5th night 12-12
