I smoked another mixed with mullein that just tasted like mullein. I think I got a little buzz but hard to tell, been drinking beer since then. Not enough to eat them yet, tho
i was talking about as a minimalist way of using them not to get high. i use mine for compost and it adds to the compost and the next grow but the flowers must be edible. you can use them for honey bee's as well im sure, etc.. the list goes on and on for the uses. i think there is such thing as people literally saving pollen from flowers and using it in the food as well think it's a health thing
if you drink beer just fuse it with your beer and drink it straight up your butt quickest way to get drunk lol. wonder if it would get you high if infused. shit you can probably use it with hops to make beer as well flavor wise.

Yea, I’m not at the stage of taking butt shots yet. That’s when you know it’s time for AA, LoL. I might actually try eating a couple of the flowers, just for science.

Ok, so I’m a bit deeper in my cups tonight and figured fuck it — eating flower is no more strange than eating rosemary or oregano or whatever. So I took a pinch of the male flowers and chewed them up, swallowed and it basically amounted to dry oatmeal. Very puffy dried oatmeal. Not exactly a culinary revelation — it won’t impart any flavors or anything. I’m thinking once the male flower is done producing pollen, it’s just spent. Whereas the female will just keep producing terpenes and THC and such to protect and/or enhance those seeds. Sorry for rambling, high as well...

Seeded buds are a lot less potent, I think the plant diverts its focus from flowering to developing seed. Why are you eating male flowers, again?

It was suggested that I eat some as well as smoke them, for science and culinary value. Culinary value was zilch, but that’s still a step forward for science. As for seeded buds, I figure they must be less potent but on the other hand, I can’t help thinking all the THC/CBD/terpenes/etc. must fulfill some sort of evolutionary role — i.e. strengthening or supporting the seed somehow.
Ultimately sexual reproduction is about genetics, after all, so the plant wouldn’t have developed these compounds to benefit virginal flowers — that’s just something that’s basically tangential that we’ve discovered, I’m thinking. In other words, the compounds serve a biological purpose for procreation, either directly or indirectly, but the fact they’re enhanced in virginal flower may be irrelevant. I’m pretty fucked up at this point, tho, and I’m basing these statements on zero science. I’m not sure how else to rationalize the fact that “desirable” — for humans — compounds increase when the flower remains unseeded. It is a paradox.
I managed to harvest and trim up some premature (female) bud as hedge against the rain starting tomorrow. The amount I chopped wasn’t enough to really make a dent in the plants but should provide me with some useable smoke if they all go to shit due to weather. Doesn’t look bad for immature flower:

lol i don't drink beer so i don't really know shit about it but i figure since they use other ingredients along with hops for flavoring such as orange peels and what not you could do the same with cannabis. i work as a cook you think this is all weird shit but to us it's normal. i've seen a lot of cool shit other chefs have done that are basic like this that make the ingredients taste really good. it's all just about experimenting takes time and money but if your into it has a huge pay off. we don't throw much away like i said we got to be minimalist in the field make a dollar out of scraps. i've seen people throw away shrimp shells which are great for making stock, fish bones again great for stock, vegetable scraps again useful for stock, etc..
