Dstroy's NEW grow journal

I should clarify, I haven't had it in service long enough to know when I should calibrate it because I've never used an atlas scientific ph probe continuously before.

Awesome grows man. Just spent an hour going through your posts, way over my head but i I tend on learning a few things here lol. Them some healthy happy ladies you got there though. I can only hope mine will grow up to be like yours lol. I start my grow this weekend from seed and will start a journal on it. It’ll be my first grow in about 6 years or so, so it’s been a while but there’s plenty of good growers on here and answered questions to get advice from. Happy token and keep up the good work dstroy

No updates yet. I really fucked up the plant that is in the flower tent, trying a new additive that I wont be using anymore. It works fine in soil, but it really fucked with the pH in my setup so I've got funky new growth and most of the older growth is fucken fried. I was out of town again and my controller went through 500ml of 1phdown:5water pH down trying to keep the pH from shooting up.

Ok, let me walk you through what happened.

Here’s the plant that I put into my flower tent before transplanting:

Aug 30

Not really any issues other than it was too big and not properly managed because I was really busy.

Here it is after I cut about 3ft off and started weaving it through the net:

A little pissed off, but here it is the next day:

Again, the damage here is from improper care during veg, none of this stuff had seen light in a while so it had started to die off.

And here’s when it went downhill:

Right after I took that pic (sep 10) I added recharge to my reservoir and it cooked that plant:

Three days later, it started out nuts grew a ton and then shit the bed

Here is where it is today:

Almost recovered, not going to be adding that to my reservoir anymore. Set me back about a month.

My pH controller has been working well, fixing little things here and there. Haven’t added any new features really just qol stuff.

I’m all for a diy build. What type of controller are you using with the atlas sensors? I mean you say you built it so what’s it built off of? Arduino? Raspberry? Python and an old pc? I mean you have to have a controller that can interpret the readings from the scientific sensors and then in turn control your dispensers or valves for your PH solutions based off that reading right?

If you care to read more about it I posted about it not that long ago in this thread, with the source code.

Day 10 12/12

They grew about 10” this week.

Starting to be able to see some flower sites

Raised the lights up to 18-20” again. They were only about 10” away in some places. I need to stay on top of that, it’s one of the last things I regularly forget to adjust.

I pulled out half of the stuff that wasn’t going to get any light, got half to go.

I have done zero pruning before yesterday aside from getting it to shape.

I’ll be doing that right after the lights come on today, I wanted to get it all but it was a way bigger job than I anticipated. So many small branches.

Looks good man. Nice recovery. My three just hit my screen couple days ago. Hoping I don’t have too much more time left in veg. Interested to see pics of the pruning when you’re done.
