Started harvesting the DVG Humble Pie on day 53 of 12/12

I've been really busy again. The garden is doing fine, I'm doing what I did last time and taking stuff as it becomes ripe.

IDK why but this plant the lowers beefed up fine but were really light in color until they spend a few days under the light.

It's a nice uplifting high from this one, good for daytime not too heavy. It's a mood lifter, but if you try and smoke a few bowls it'll still knock you out.

The high isn't distracting if that makes sense, you keep your focus but feel lighter.

It's loud, and smells kinda like pine and fruit with sausagey undertone when it's fresh cut.

It is VERY tasty, you get some fuel up front at first but as it goes on it takes on this spicy berry taste that everyone likes. I'm glad cause I was expecting it to be potent and not taste good because in veg it smelled unpleasant.

5-10 hits from the vaporizer last a couple hours, with about a 3-4/10 on the pain scale

I'll take a pic of what I jar up later, got some dry stuff that needs trimmed. Dense hard nugs, lots of resin, can vape on it for a while.

Yield is gonna be moderate, from this first run in my 4x4 I estimate I'm going to pull 2 1/2 gallon jars of buds and 2-3 gallon bags of trim. It's good with an interesting high, and tastes good, it's worth running IMHO. I'm going to run it again.

So I take it the moms survived in the dirt?

I've been busy,

My AC went out in the grow room cause the exhaust blower wheel ate itself. Got that fixed.

One of my accumulators broke, no problem. Fixed that too.

I furiously worked on a diy "pH controller" to get basic functionality out of it before I went on vacation, it worked and kept my pH right at 5.8.

I've been consistently working on the program for my new controller to make my grow even more hands off than it is.

The plant that was in my veg tent is now in my flower tent, but I cut about three feet off of it. It should have went into the flower tent a while ago and now has to wait longer in order to get reacclimated. The roots grew up into the misters while I was on vacation.

I used paracord and a jug to keep my moms watered while I was gone, worked fine.

here's my new controller, it does ph, temp, ec, and measures the amount of water entering the system to give me a better idea of when to change the res.

Gonna be running DVG humble pie again, should have some updates in a week or so.

Here's the code for that thing. The meat and potatoes work, gonna take my time on the user interface cause it's not critical. I can just plug it into my computer and calibrate if I need to for now, but I wont have to because I just calibrated so it should be good for about a week or more, not sure because I haven't had it in service yet.

This is the last time I use an I2C LCD for a project like this. It takes about 63ms theoretically to write one char to one display and I have 2 20x4 displays, in reality it's more like 80+ms because the library I'm using has some delay() in it. That was causing a lot of problems with the stepper motor operation if I tried to update the display it costs as much as rewriting it, and took a long time (200+ms every loop).
