Drying with a fan ?

Hey people,

Drying buds with a fan, for example, a create of beer box hang a few buds upside down and a few lying at the bottom, holes poked in both sides with front and back doors half way open, then a fan few feet away blowing low speed 10 mins every hour (24hrs),.,,, the fan is blowing indirectly, (not direct to the buds)

I hear people talking about they dont use fans as it drys there buds too quickly,,,

Should the fan be ditched ?

i use a fan. keeps the air moving and helps prevent mold.

heres how i do it. hang my trimmings on a 3 teared hanger, the kind you can hang slacks on with clamps. i place a fan 12" away at low speed for about 3 days. also it is hanging in a window for more air cirulation.

i would reccomend not using a fan. if u want the full flavor out of ur herb, be patient. i keep my dry room dark and about 60-65 temp and close to the same humidity . gotta make sure u get good airflow though, dont want any mold. a fan in the corner of the room circulating the air should be enough.thats about all the fan u need to use. being patient is the key to getting the best out of ur herb tho.

by not using a fan, i mean dont use the fan to actually "dry" ur bud, just keep the air moving.

plus side of useing a fan is movement of air, and faster drying.....cons, because it dries faster chlorophll wont evap. enuff and it will taste harsh, and or need alonger cure

what size fan are you using, and what type dry setup are you using?

o im stoned nvm i saw how you are doing it you should be fine but i agree with growmanzach keep the temps low your dry room dark, and most of all be patient and you will be glad that you waited in the long run good luck

the drying process is complete just started curing, but i keep smoking some of it,

How mudh will u smoke until its properly cured most of it by the sounds of it.
