Drying Curing, my way ok? <<<<<<<<<

Well this is my first harvest and ill say what I done in steps to make it easier:

It was 1 plant but been since late jan, its now under a 400hps using NFT & is cheese

Friday I chopped the top 50% of the plant down

Took big branches away and left the bud on small stalks

Cut round the edge of the bud to remove the leaves.

Nowhere to hang so I placed them in carboard boxes with air holes and due to hot weather here this week I had a fan on turn to circulate some air (not directly on)

I didnt have time to do the rest at the time but kept it running on flush.

Now I dont know wether ive commited a cultivational sin but ive but today decided I cant be arsed with those little buds that were at the bottom and covered by the bushyness above...so I started it on nutes again.

Will this fatten them up?


Now back to the harvested bud

75% of it the twigs snap when bent, the rest in between snap & bend.

Then, I stuck the bud in a plastic box 10"w x 14" , closed it and stuck it in a dark place.

Will that be ok all in together if I burp it every day?


Maybe experimenting aint a good idea for my first time but you dont learn if you dont fuk up now and again.

Nice one ill look. What about the re flowering the bottom half? It seems to be ok so far.

hey man do u have any pics of that cheese? I am growing some cheese and its almost done and id like to compare.... when i dry i take all the fans off. then i chop all the small leaves off each bud, cut around like u were saying. Then i take screens, place the bud (around 6lbs usually) on the screens. I leave it in my room with my lights off and my fans on. I come in and turn the buds every day. after 2 days i take the buds and place them in sealable plastic bags. I let it sit for 1 day. I take the bud out again place it on the screens and let it dry for 1 more day, then I put it in the bags and its ready. It cures longer in the bags and if theres any moisture i might let it breathe a couple times till its perfect.

Yeah ive never done that myself but I have friends who say that works, Just make sure you have time to flush before they finish eh.

how long did u veg this plant for? It looks like the cheese i got. same colors

the bottom buds really wont fatten up enough to let it keep goin regardless of what you do.

right between snap and bend is the perfect time to put em in jars.

Was in veg for 11 weeks and flower for 10/11.

I was having issues with ph testers (never buy cheap ones from ebay, just spend the £$£$ in a proper shop), and I moved house.

I actually lost 60%+ of my main cola due to having the light too close.

Ok so I moved them back into boxes last night being paranoid of mould. Ill put them back in the plastic sealed box now. Is a plastic sealed box ok?

Oh and it dont smell cheesy yet, will that come after curing? How long should I cure for? 30 days I aint really got.

if its airtight then itll work.

after about 2 weeks of curing youll notice the smell startin to come around. you can start smokin it as soon as its dry. its really not a big deal if its personal and you dont mind the grassy taste. itll still get you fucked up. the longer you cure tho the better the smell/taste
