Droxster tha Dro Chokster is back!!...been working at Micky D's and fell off for about 2 years know I need some Sooth-yo-nerves medication and I got some lights i need some opions on! Ones a Floro and the other is this big ass light bulb my homie gave me..when its on, it shines a redish orange light, and it gets hot as hell! Got a Couple of CFL's to start with but I want to know what this big red bulb is and will it and the floro help grow my babies, and if so how many...trying to start with 5 Green Dragons...still got a lot to do...just got me a 33 Gallon Tote Box, So I might do something with that..need helpfull replys my fellow tokers! :-P

i have never seen a light like that , if its incandecent or halogen its no good my friend , any info on it ?
 
or again if its mercury vapour again gives more heat than light and does not give off the light your plants require =D
 
If your going to grow without hps and mh lights use either t5's or cfls you dant want to be using floro's for flowering .
 
it looks like a plant light you can buy at lowes or something. or possible a food lamp

i did some research , thats a halogen bulb , throw it away , so sorry but its best , your little strip flou light is ok , but only really for clones , soz again but better your told ehh, whats the box for ?

You aren't going to be growing much of anything with a fluoro and some CFLs. You can always grow some clones and sell those to buy some real lights I guess?

I say this with 100% sincerity and just tellin it how it is, I'm not in any way trying to start flame wars or some BS, but you need to take a step back and go do some more research on how to grow. It always seems like it's a really simple stupid thing to do, but it's very very hard to get good, consistent yields in an indoor hydro. Watch "I grow chronic" its on youtube a great find for newbies to growing. Make a list of the shit you need and figure out how much its going to cost before you get started. Find yourself some MH/HPS conversion bulbs and a ballast and go from there.

i was going to set the box up some kinda way? when i can get some good bulbs it would be excellent for growing...has a lid and everything...i want to know how to do it right, becuz i got only one box and dont want to mess up if i start drilling holes.
 
Heres a pic with the lid off...it looks big enuff to me...at least 6 plantz can get started inside once the box is up and ready
