Drilling holes in stalk before harvest-bs right?

As to yield - don't really know but feel it does increase yield. Especially with side buds being more exposed to direct light.

I'm so OCD about topping and supercropping I might not be very objective. I even topped an auto. And it didn't stop the thing. Not into autos but a neighbor breeds them. Gave me some for feeding his dog when he had to fly to the Lower 48. Topping along with 25 plants and . . Oops. But it didn't miss a beat.

Drilling holes doesn't work. What works is direct feeding of the plant. You can pump molasses straight into the plant for some really sweet buds. Makes them really swell up and turn frosty.

I just saw what the pic actually is. Youve got a junky?! Shootin that sweet black stuff into her, wow. Ive never heard of this. Looks kinda out there. Cool tho.

I wasn't claiming to have invented it...not sure where you get that from:confused:
I've never super-cropped outdoor plants, just topping mostly.
What is the point of outdoor supercropping?

Foxtailing means you had heat issues through-out the room or genetics, I've never had super-cropping cause foxtailing…
It's not that drastic, they always recover within a day or 2 for me.
When growing from seed, you never know how much they will stretch + you get surprises sometimes.
Ummm no it was not heat issues as it was 3 plants out of 6 that were in the same trays under the same lights in the same room. Heat is kept at a constant 76 f. Humidity is controlled to 60% give or take 5 as my controller sucks. I grew White Russian (a stretchy fucker) for 2.5 years and the supercropped ones would start to change leaf structure as well as stretch even more. I’m no expert but if bad shit happens I tend to stop doing what I did lol. Not saying it’s bad for everyone but didn’t improve my crops other than keep it from catching fire lol.

I've been doing it to some + leaving others alone, all TK.
Never changed buds or made them stretch more...
The side branches stretch some, but the top never stretches after a supercrop:roll:

oh my lord, if I had a dollar for every time I heard somebody who has never grown say so goddamn matter-of-factly "oh, you cant top auto's" I'd have enough dollars to pay somebody else to punch their teeth in AND hire a good lawyer, lol. TBH topping saved one of my auto's when I was in a tighter space, and I ended up tying all the branches down, and then down again to the side so it looked like a little swastica. Probably would of been 3+ feet tall had i left it alone, I had it down under 2 feet.

People who say "oh you cant do this and that" generally just suck at doing this and that.

edit: also auto's are the municipal dump of the cannabis world.

I was given free seeds. A neighbor breeds for a seedbank in the NW. Second time i ever grew any. I see no benefit, reduced potency and less chance to train them. Just my personal opinion.

Oh i wasnt knocking you for growing them, You gotta do something yourself before you can form an opinion on them. I did it too.
I see zero benefit except auto start. They don't finish anywhere near the quoted grow time. 3 in my flower tent right now finishing at the same speed my photos are. Taking up the same space. For less potency. This was my second season running a few. My last season too.

They finish outside about mid-season, 10 weeks, for me and what I’ve tried. I’ve never grown one inside and probably never will. As for topping, I’ve only did it once, with half of 8 topped, no difference in harvest and never tried again. I try one or two every year trying to find one that is worthy but yup it’s been a long road lol. I crossed a couple this year that take about 12 weeks, done in a week or two. We’ll see lol.

I feel the same way about auto's. The only benefit I see would be for outdoor growers with short growing seasons being able to have a plant finish before the weather gets bad. Indoor growers can stimulate early flowering by adjusting light hours.

Despite super long daylight hours here in Alaska it's extremely low UV. Whatever is crossed with the ruderalis has to like low light. To finish outside without cover.

My friend was telling me about this and we are starting to do some research because it is verified that it is for certain and old and ancient American Indian and North American Indian trick to harvesting marijuana. When you drill a hole and leave bamboo shoots the last two days of your flush and they're your 24 hours of dark before Harvest it spikes all the trichomes. If anybody wants to add additional research that's what I know so far. In addition, my research suggests that drilling a hole in the middle bottom of the plant makes the plant thinks it's two different plants at the end and rushes the rest of the nutrients to benefit the plant at the same time it will kill it because they're basically or no nutrients left because of the flush. It will ensure maximum ripening I am about to do it right now as we speak.

I started on autos for one simple reason, to be able to put plants into the tent at different stages due to the constant light schedule. These were my experiments while I honed in on growing. Now that I have moved up in class to newbie I will be moving to photo's for training and potency it is still a nice way to experiment with one plant than another if you only have the one combined space. Other than that I can't see much use for them. My left over auto seeds will become my outdoor crop for cottage going forward.
