Dried up wilted leaves???

Good evening guys. I have a problem and am hoping for some answers....

36 hours ago my garden was fine, but when I checked on it a moment ago I was taken back by the condition of one of the girls. Something has caused all of the sun leaves to begin drying up and wilting. It appears to have started in on some of the smaller fans, but all of the big ones are dead.

At time of discovery, the Ph was sitting at just over 6 which shouldnt be a problem, and the nutes were fresh 3 days ago at 500ppm. Im growing DWC in individual isolated tubs. No other plant is showing these symptoms, however this is the only one of her strain being flowered at the time (Chocolope, 5 days 12/12).

Ive since flushed and dropped the nutes down to 350ppm. Anyone have any idea what may be happening, and what if anything I can do differently at this point?

Ive posted a few pics that were just taken. Thanks!

The plant looks like it's about a month old, it should be able to take the 500 ppm you were feeding, I would suspect high PH or maybe the air stone.

NUTES AT 350 PPM????????????? AND UR IN FLOWERING?????? IN HYDRO??????? Dude u should be at least starting at 750-1000 PPMs, depending on ur nute manufacturer. I don't know if the low PPMs is directly causing that to ur plants, but u need more nutes then that in flowering. I would have started at 800 PPMs, that is..... u said ur in hydro!

I agree, I think ur pH may be to high. u said a bit over 6 which should be fine????? Not really. Ideal pH fro hydro is 5.5-6.3. Some nute manufacturers(like mine) prefer 5.5-5.8. But I would say optimum pH is at 5.8/5.9. Once ur in the flowering stage, and I mean AGGRESSIVE flowering(say week 4-6) then I would bump my pH up a little, to 6.0-6.1. But that's it. but then again, I'm not saying I'm right. That's just my opinion. I'm actually having issues in my 1st soil grow, right now, so I am NO pro. Just going by wat I know and wat ur telling us.

The pH was 6.0 after being unattended for 36 hours. Fluctuation is common and I always bring it back down to 5.8. The girl next to it had spiked up to almost 7 and shes fine.

As for the nute level, I grow DWC and like to run them on the low side. Flushing and dropping the levels has always been my panic button. The 500ppm she was at should have been fine, but at 350ppm I know she will be fine. Slowed, but stable. I plan on bringing it back up as soon as she recovers.

Funny the air stone was mentioned. I just installed a new air pump and stone in that tub when she was last checked. I went with a ceramic stone for the first time. Could that really be the problem?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I appreciate all input and will be back to check on things this evening.

If you look at pic #3 on the lower left, the fan leaf seems to be having early signs of nute lock, the wilting above indicates high ph, what kind of meter are you using, is it calibrated? I've had bad experiences with meters so I use the drops, to me it's more reliable.

I ALWAYS grew DWC, and DIY Bubblers is what I mean. And never had Flux with my pH, unless the girls were trying to tell me something. Maybe ur meter is off???? I don't know, to be quite honest. 350 PPM is too low. 500 is low to be honest, and it should be able to take that. Hope u figure out wat's wrong. But something in ur solution, is causing pH flux, whether it be improper use or mixing of nutes, or simply, u might have root rot, that will also flux ur pH.

I agree with the high PH, it causes the leaves the become twisted like those leaves that haven't died yet. It's a good indicator.

Im going to start keeping her pH lower than the rest and bring the nutes back up. I really dont think the meters are off or else I would see problems elsewhere. I have several other plants in different stages of growth and all are behaving as expected. This one, being a new strain to me, may be more sensitive than what Im used to. Having had no problems with any of my grows in months now, it kinda floored me to see something like that happen so quickly and not know why. The lessons learned never seem to cease.

Thanks again for all the input guys. Wish me luck!
