Dr greenthumbs "dope" show test grow

... hey all.. its that time again.. time for a new journal on my newly received beans from dr greenthumbs.. the strains gonna be a new one from the dr, called dope.. just would like to say thanks to the dr for giving me a shot at growing out his hard work for all to see... i'm really excited to see how these turn out as he said he's worked on them for 8 years and has put a lot of hard work into them, so there should be some fire in this pack for sure.. i'm also gonna be growing out some chocolate rain in the same grow from sannies so i will have something to compare growth rates and all with... the chocolate rain are about a week ahead of the dope and have already been germed and have popped out of the rapid rooters around two or so days ago..
i will try and get some pixs up as soon as there is something to look at, and i will update most likely a few times a week..
as usual, comments are always welcome as this is a test grow, and i'll gladly try and answer any and all ?'s the best i can..

Cool man I should have some seeds in the mail also and will doing a journal on them as well. I have a few different strains germing cuz I have been having germination problems so I can make sure I have a good system working so that I don't mess these up :/ I got some clones too I got a cannalope haze clone and some clones that are still sexing so I will have something to compare with it also.

yummy, canalope haze.. very nice.. isn't that in that chocolope as well, or am i thinking of something else? sounds nice though.. can't wait to see your journal and grow though pipe.. good luck with all you have going on..

thanks man you too. Interesting to see what beans pop up for me I got three strains in the dirt just to make sure and I got the cannalope clone which I already know is female and I will know what to expect. Right now I'm expecting big flowers from this one too because of the stature of thed plants and their willingness to take ferts. Yes cannalope haze is in chocololpe it's CHxchocolate thai. My bank was all sold out of the chocolope when I was getting my order together and I decided to try this first.

nah, i don't even live in canada, it was super fast.. the dr pm'ed me and said they were going out on monday and i got them this monday, so yeah, fast.. i even made an order from the tude on friday to get those free tga seeds, and i haven't even gotten that one yet..
but yeah, the dope strain sounds dank.. i will have to look up how to spell the one strain as i don't want to butcher the spelling on it, but its that one crossed with endless sky.. can't wait to see what we all get from these.. i've never had a plant that flowered so fast and im really excited to see it's growth rates and all.

i found the spelling on the one.. i didn't want to disrespect the dr and mispell the name of his strain, lol.. so its chumaluma x endless sky.. sounds sweet..
and yah pipe, i even checked a few different banks for the chocolope, i think the attitude as well as speedyz, and both of them were out of it at the time.. so i just went with the chocolate rain from sannie.. it sounds pretty nice as well.. its got the chocolope x dj shorts cocoa kush..
i was gonna put one of the chocolate rains in a hempy bucket and the other in soil and the dope in soil as well.. this will be my first attempt at a hempy bucket, so i thought it would be pretty cool to do a side by side comparison of the hempy vs soil, and see what i get.. thought i would just go straight soil with the dope seeds as i don't want to take the chance of screwing anything up on my first hempy try...

yeah that's the way to go. I came across that chocolate rain the other day and have heard a lot of good things about sannies seeds. I was just told to expect big yeilds on the dope seeds

yah, i have pretty much heard that about all of the drs. strains to be honest with you.. im pretty stoked on them.. maybe i will do the same and do one hempy and one or two soil as well with the dope seeds... hmm, decisions, decisions, lol.. i still have a couple of days to make up my mind about how im gonna do them yet though..

well, even though theres not much going on as of yet, i thought that i would throw up some pix ... heres a few.. one of the beans as the dr sent them to me.. three beans in a paper towel doing there thing, and two pix of the chocolate rain beans... they are in rapid rooters sitting in some perlite getting ready to move over to hempy buckets in a few more days..

got my beans I'm following the directions since I've never used fertilizer for germing but right now with my bad luck I figured it can't hurt. I added some superthrive and some root booster with fertilizer and I'm heating up my greenhouse with the paper towels right now. I got 3 beans soakin in water since this morning and will put them in there soon. If that doesn't work I'm gonna just pot em straight into soil and put them in there my other beans from 2 days ago germed and are breaking now so that's my fall back plan. I will start a journal as soon as they break the soil I got a romulan and querkle and a cannalope haze clone I will be growing along with them and mikado if it sprouts.

nice pipe.. thats funny, cuz i even put three drops of superthrive and a pinch of rooting powder in the water that i soaked my paper towel with... i've never done this before, but i figured i would follow the drs advice.. i didn't use any nutes though, i thought that the superthrive and rooting hormone would be enough of a jumpstart...
i always do the paper towel thing though, and it should work out just fine for you.. i usually see the tap root in about two or three days and they are ready to go from there..
glad to hear that you got yours as well.. i wonder if everyone else who is down got theirs as well..

I have had a lot of fertilizers in the past that say it can be used to germinate seeds. I think the seeds just see hey it's fertile here let's grow. I wouldn't have used any if I didn't already have some that I bought I never used it so this will be a first. I diluted the crap out of it though so who knows if it will even make a difference.

I've used the paper towel method my whole life since I learned it in high school but just recently I've been having troubles but now i gota a heating pad set up with the proper temps I think that's behind me. I've always used superthrive usually when I transplant into the medium but what the hell it can't hurt I figured.

i'll have to remembeer that about deleting smileys, lol.. i hate that.. that always h geappens to me when i type out a huge response that was well though out and i always get annoyed, lol..
i too only germed three of the beans for now to see what i get. i noticed on the pack the last letter was an f, i was wondering if these are femmed seeds or just regular.. the dr didn't mention them being femmed, so i don't think that they are, just looking at the pack got me wondering..

I saw that too i wasn't sure what the dael with that was either if they are femmed that would be awesome but neither of those 2 strains is from female genetics. It probably just stands for the dope freebies or I was thinkin of calling em the dope fiend lol A fiends gotta have it and lots of it like green crack.

nice.. i didn't even think about neither of the parents being femmed, so i'm sure your right.. i didn't think they were to begin with, just got to thinking after i saw that.. i even checked out dr greenthumbs site, but i guess he hasn't released these to the public as of yet, and they aren't up there...

so, its been a lil under 48 hours in a moist paper towel, and three for three are showing taproots, so i took them out of them, and put them into rapid rooters about five minutes ago..
i will snap a few pix when they break out of the rapid rooters and we have something to look at.. i will also take some new pix of the chocolate rains that i also have going in the same grow so that i have something to compare the drs strain with..
so far im impressed with one hundred percent germ rate, not that i expected any less, just saying..

k.. so its been a few days since i put my germed beans into the rapid rooters, and already two of the three are coming through.. i will try and get some pix in the morning or the next day when they come out a lil more..
looking great so far, and can't wait for these beans to really start doing their thing.

alrighty ... things are starting to look pretty good now with the beans.. all have popped and are coming out of the rapid rooters and coming along nicely.. i even decided to pop one of my dr greenthumbs og kush femmed beans to go along wth the grow as well as the chocolate rains.. so im super excited to be growing two of the good drs strains at one time..
i finally got my damn digital camera working and got some new pix instead of having to use my crappy phone camera for a change. since theres still not a whole lot to look at, i thought i would also throw up a few pix of my herijuana that is about three or so weeks into flower now, and some bud porn from my last grow of sour cream and mk ultra.. i don't remember which buds are which in the pix, but i just thought that i would throw up something nice to look at while the seedlings do their thing.. it won't be long till they start to get nice and bushy im sure and will have something to really post pix of.. as cool as i think it is to see how a seed goes from just a lil seed into a plant, theres really not too much to look at for the first two weeks or so, but than things should start to pick up after that, which should be rather soon..
