That Grape Ultra looks nice! I would be willing to risk a couple of flaming mites for a taste of that. :-)

Cold's D40 is more acceptable and your pictures are perfect. Dont they make microscopes that attaches the computer, that allow you to take pictures on the computer??

Yup it can get pricey, luckily for me the D40 was gifted to me (my friend got a newer, better camera). The D40s are old and discontinued so I'm sure you can pick some up on eBay for a good deal. However, I think it would be better just to buy a new body so that you aren't limited by resolution like I am. At the end of the day, a good DSLR setup will probably run $1000-1300 depending on camera, lens, etc. Once you have a good macro lens you will find yourself taking macro pictures of EVERYTHING. It is too much fun :D

Hey bro does $459 sound about right for a good macro lens?

That's what the guy at the camera store quoted for me.

Tell me about it. We go hiking all the time and the wildflowers are killer this time of year. Like I said before, I have two music programs and a piece of hardware that look to run about $2000....trying to save for that first.

Most of the Nikon macro lenses can be bought online for under $400, but I don't know about Canon (you would save on taxes since most don't charge for shipping for that large of an order). Mine was ~$280, but it is the least expensive macro lens they make. I'm not really sure what makes one macro lens better than another.

For the music program, is it plugins or just a recording suite? If it is a recording suite I would recommend checking out Reaper (made by the person who did WinAmp back in the day). Our band has used Cubase and Pro Tools, yet Reaper is the most stable (Cubase and Pro Tools are unstable as hell when dealing with tons of tracks and automation), updated constantly (Cubase NEVER updates shit), and can use tons of different types of plug ins (AU, VST, etc.). Oh yeah, did I mention it is free (well, it is an evaluation copy that never expires)? I'm sure you know what you are looking for, but it is just an idea :)

Been rather busy lately. Snapped a few quick shots this evening of my last girl in flower. Just finishing her off then doing a room cleaning/reset, after which I will put the girls that I have started in a different part of my house (Qush and Dairy Queen) into the grow room again. Hopefully finishing off the girls in the different room doesn't come back to bite me in the ass (they are on opposite sides of the house). Anyways, on with the fun...

Grape Ultra "short" pheno day 72. I think she got a little burned from too much super soil (she was less of a feeder than the "tall" pheno, which stretched like crazy). She will be chopped in a few days.

Nice work on the Grape Ultra CAS! Super soil can be tricky with the sativa dominant genetics...but it looks like she is still filling in just fine.

Super frosty...nice macro's

Beautiful shots CAS! To be honest your shots have motivated me to take it up a notch learning about photography myself. For a long time now I have been motivated by the other photo greats (Sub, Ocanabis, Medshed, Chef, Hotsause, Nugbuckets, etc...) on RIU but now I am going to do it!
Peace

Thanks BP. I wish I didn't have my garden problems because I would love to give these another go since I know their feeding habits now, but oh well. Still have 4 seeds left :)

Bshdctr, I feel honored that I have inspired you. I am starting to get the photography down, now I have to get the growing good weed part down haha. If you have any questions on how to take good pictures just let me know, I have been a photography nerd for a while now.

Here are some dried shots of the Grape Ultra "tall" pheno. She should be ready to smoke in a few weeks (I typically prefer a month cure minimum).
