wow thanks shack and yah i may use ferts, im gonna use organic alakan fish ferts for the whole grow, so as my plants require feeding so they will get, for my soil to save money cuz im cheap and this is my first try ill go with MG Organic choice mixed with worm casting mixed with soil that was alread there so i dont have to buy like 10 bags of MG. from all the reading ive been doing that should work quite well, and well im freaken excited! and after that speech you just gave i will definetly slowly ease them out there.

My last soapbox moment...
I recently trasnplanted a few flowers/small shrubs into my garden outside. The soil was horrible so i turned a bit of good potting soil, similar to what you're doing, and a bit of worm casting, similar to what you're doing... then it gets a little different, mulch for water retention (in the soil, as well as good top layer) AND those expanded clay pebbles used in my hydro systems, Hydrotron, i think that addition was the best idea i ever had. The hydroton does an AWESOME job adding aeration for your root system. I did it in the pots i have my squah in and they exploded. Branching/vining within a week and awesome leaf development.

Those are my two cents on soil. Take it or leave it, haha!

Just did an awesome post on my AG thread.

Good night and Good Luck!

Hey dope'

When they go outside permanently, are they staying in pots, or going in the ground?

what up d-dub?!! sorry I haven't been around in awhile, caught up in shit around the house, doing this and that with the lady friend... you know shit you don't care to hear about, haha!

any rate, the plants look AWESOME! you say they're getting 2-3 hours of sunlight per day? you set them out for a bit, then bring them in? i think the next step would be to leave them out in a shadier spot for a day or so, so they really take on all the elements (sans full sun). then again, sounds like you have a bit of schedule in mind. looks like they love you already, way to be a good father! haha. if i had to offer one last piece of advice, whatever nutes you used on your old grow (i may have a missed a post, so i apologize if you've gone over this). mix up a batch of whatever nutes you used on your PC indoor, and hit them with that as sort of a nutrient/fert jump start, give them a little something to prepare for transplant. thats just my style though, i think every little bit counts when sometimes it probably doesnt. if you go for it though, remember 1/4 strength, they're still young.

:peace: and :hump:

Good luck, man! Tread lightly and avoid those mounties!

So.. since I'm going to be doing a little outdoor action soon, as well, what are you gonna carry your shit in? Backpack? I have a thermos that would fit a cup (which I'll be planting OD with, too. I'll do cup in a cup.. inside cup has no bottom. I'll fill w/ regular MG soil.. (i know.. ick, but time release!!) and just do a quick trowel into the ground, insert inner cup and walk. The heavy rains in my region (we are right up there with Seattle in rainfall) will rinse the MG nutes into the soil underneath, is my thinking, and the cup will protect from invading weeds.

Also.. my spots are a bit shaded.. especially lower. I think the plants should get about 6 hours direct once bigger. Yours? Are you concerned about that? It seems like the lush forest I'm planting in has no issues with growth, so I guess I'll just have to hope.

Again.. good luck!
