There.

Russian money flows through DWAC.

" a Ukraine-born nightclub manager turned private equity investor named Michael Shvartsman, told his business partners and a neighbor about the moneymaking opportunity, according to the affidavit — before securing $18 million in profits for himself."

Shvartsman (lol, I didn't make it up)

"Shvartsman had helped run a nightclub in the 1990s in Edmonton, Alberta, called Kaos that local police alleged was financed by the Russian mob, a 2022 Financial Times report said — a claim Shvartsman denied, and for which he was never charged. He also founded Transact First, a company whose “cashless ATMs” help marijuana dispensaries transfer money from banks that would otherwise reject them as customers under federal law, according to a Bloomberg News report in 2022, which called him the “granddaddy” of the “major cashless ATM players.”"

From other articles, I get the sense that Shvarty left Canada because the heat was on and he couldn't take it. Miami was a much better place to run a money laundering operation.
WTF is "Trump Media",it can't just be his "Truth Social" echo chamber site that is his failed attempt to recreate Twitter to put his propaganda out there after they shitcanned him and before Elon restored him on X, and if so HOW does that pass the regulatory smell test w/ all his fraud convictions/indictments.How can the feds. be down w/this scoundrel ,who played a shell game in NY concerning debt and was convicted 24 hrs. ago, getting a 4B cash injection, unless I just got back from Mars,I'm not familiar w/Trump being a media magnate, this guy's game has more twists and turns than a sidewinder rattle snake.

Just being sarcastic,

But maybe they wanted to make sure he was going to be able to pay all of his legal bills and fines? $4 Billion would make a tasty snack for the DOJ to claw out of Putin via Trump.

Funny thing is I had the above pic already in this thread for Fog's post. But it works just as well for your post too.

How you doing man,it's been a while since I've seen you here, thought you were banned like so many have been recently, hope everything's been good w/ya
Same, hope you're good too. Everything is going good for the most part in my neck of the woods. I figured the Democrats close loss in the house in 2022 would end up with where we pretty much are at this point so figured it was a good time to take a break from the trolls trying like hell to burn us all out. I was getting a few 'dial it backs' and decided it was as good a time as any to bail for a while. But wasn't ever banned, and don't plan on giving any reason for anyone to do it.

But with 2024 coming back up and us really (hopefully) approaching the endgame for the dictator's chances at keeping us divided, I figured it was time for me to get off my ass and start doing my part in combating their propaganda spam in the best way I know how to.

Cool,Politically I sat on my ass for 50 yrs. living in a deep blue state, unmotivated, didn't even despise the R party then, but NOW??,Off the charts in terms of chaos, lack of any bi-partisanship to move the country forward, extremely vile R's in the House w/absolutely 0 redeeming qualities, and of course Agent Orange himself,a draft dodging tough guy poser who has pulled off the biggest dupe of my lifetime. This MF has served as a one man wrecking crew of our country,in terms of division, endless judicial challenges, confusion w/ allies etc, etc., all for a self centered SOB w/the gall to elevate his self interest over that of over 360 million citizens as he chases his deranged illusions that he wears a crown.

It is important to remember that that man could not have had this much impact without the Party leadership steadily preparing the ground since Eisenhower termed out.

To a great extent that man and his “policies” are an effect of Republican strategy, not a cause.

I'm not a political historian by any means and yeah some R's prior to 2000 like Gingrich said and preached some radical shit but I remember moderate R's who disagreed over size of govt, how to enable small bus. to succeed, and were conservative regarding social change, and favored the rich but weren't just cold blooded absolute haters backing an inept shell of a human being. There was a time when Congressmen shared apartments in DC and bi-partisan dealing happened at restaurants and bars and animosity wasn't through the roof. I'd like to see some of these people who are still alive speak out,I'd like to see W come out of the closet w/what he thinks about Trump, I WILL take their silence as a thumbs up to this BS if you know who occupies the Oval Office again, the mere thought is so dire it's country over party time.

They can speak out and some do, but according to this person, it won't matter.

This is a long interview from a series made by PBS using material they collected for their documentary on the House Select Committee on the Jan 6 Attack on the Capitol Building.

Mona Charen is a longtime conservative columnist who was figuratively defenestrated by the MAGA coalition because she supports Conservatism and not the Right Wing fascist party the the GOP has become. In this interview, she pretty much says that there will be no return of civility by leadership of the GOP for the foreseeable future. The party has been completely transformed by Trump and his followers. She says that leadership matters, which can be taken as a hopeful statement in that perhaps a civil-minded leader might be able to bring them back to becoming loyal to the constitution. She doesn't say that specifically, I'm reading it into her words. She details how one by one, anybody who wasn't towing Trump's line has been eradicated from any leadership role in the party or in Washington. She discusses events leading up to Trump and what happened to people in the party afterward.

At one hour, 28 minutes, it's a long listen but she speaks so well that it doesn't feel that long. I'm going to listen to it again while I do chores around the house this afternoon. She's well spoken, clear in her reasoning and the interview is a good listen. On a lighter note, she uses the word oleaginous. I snickered like Beavis and Butthead when she said that.

I will check it out,I just don't get it,how can a "apprentice" pol like him clean out an established party,he accomplished virtually nothing but a budget ballooning tax cut in 4 yrs. WHERE was the infrastructure bill (Biden accomplished it),the WALL,the winning health care reform of Obamacare, the rebuilding of the mfg. base(Biden has done more there). His cabinet was a palace intrigue joke of who's coming/going to the point that just about the whole fkn thing was made up of "acting" members,he completely whiffed on all his bluster. Not to mention his malfeasance, the ability to own his ass by merely throwing compliments to sooth his ego,it's all greek to me,defying reality,"I had to find the passage back to the place I was before","you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"

I can't explain it. I don't understand it either. Regarding your questions that I think all add up to why does Trump garner so much love and support when he's, to our eyes, done nothing good to speak of. Nothing at all. I can only say is I look for answers that are outside of my own values and responses. It's kind of like trying to understand what a dog is thinking. I can only understand by observing what the dog does and not from what I would do. By comparing them to a dog, I don't mean they are stupid or anything like that. Just, their ways are so different from mine. I have a brother who is one. He and I were very close while we were growing up. I can see now how he was even then an authoritarian follower. Even with the insight of knowing his childhood as well as I know my own, I can't claim to understand how he can support Trump, MAGA and the whole thing.

The one constant in all of their (his followers) speech, rhetoric, actions and so forth, including my brother, is their support for the status quo of our systemically racist white patriarchal culture. Trump resonates with white nationalists like no other politician in the modern age of the US.

Easy enough. "We do not like where society is going so we will support anyone that tries to take us back to the 50's and family values, law and order."

Hope it is a hit.
Trump musical about ex-wives, Stormy Daniels debuts in New York
A parody musical centered on former President Trump and some of the well-known women in his life is hitting the off-Broadway stage in New York City this month.

The musical, titled “Five: The Parody Musical,” tells a story about Trump; his wife, Melania; his ex-wives, Ivana Trump and Marla Maples; his daughter, Ivanka; and Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress who was paid by Trump’s former fixer, Michael Cohen, in 2016 in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair she had with the former president.

“Five: The Parody Musical” is inspired by the British musical comedy “Six,” which centers on the six wives of King Henry VIII.

“Poised to make America laugh again, FIVE is an irreverent musical comedy revue starring some of the women in the life of America’s past (and hopefully not future) President. Ivana, Marla, and Melania are joined by crowd favorite Storm and daddy’s girl Ivanka as they each take the spotlight and sing their hearts out for your vote,” a description of the musical says on its website.

“Ivana. Marla. Melania. Stormy. Ivanka … Divorced. Her-Larious. Uncensored,” reads the tagline for the show.

The four-week run began with previews last week and will run for the public through March 10 at Theater 555, an off-Broadway theater venue. Tickets are typically $49.

It comes nearly a month ahead of the slated March 25 start date for the former president’s hush money trial stemming from the payments Cohen made to Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. The former president faces 34 counts of falsifying business records over reimbursements he made in 2016 to Cohen.

Trump has denied the affair with Daniels and pleaded not guilty to the charges. The trial is poised to be the first criminal one for the former president, who faces dozens of charges in three other criminal cases.

Cohen told The New York Times last week that he saw the script for the musical and found it “clever and funny.” He also told the outlet he worked on his material ahead of time, though there is no part depicting him in the show but rather mention of him.

“It really should sound like me — otherwise it’s not authentic,” he said. “I think my sense of humor is strong enough. This is not a full, you know, comedic routine. It’s merely minutes in between the acts.”

The show’s cast includes Anyae Anasia, Gabriella Joy Rodriguez, Jaime Lyn Beatty, Gabi Garcia and Hannah Bonnett, per Playbill.

The musical’s book and lyrics are written by Shimmy Braun and Moshiel Newman Daphna, with Billy Recce also writing lyrics and the music, according to Playbill. It is directed by Jen Wineman, who has directed a series of New York, regional, university and touring productions.
