DOG Kush LED Grow Journal

For sure thats the only thing i think could help these lights.

Maybe make the white ones with lenses or something so they can penetrate deeper or even send the lenses with the panels in case someone wants that little better penetration for the whites. Who knows. Still finishin this up so im far from LED guru. haha

Either way im lovin these lights. Such little heat compared to my 600 that i classify it as "no heat", amazing spread of light with the set up i have so theres no bright circle in the middle with diminishing light as you reach the outside.

Cant get my video editor installed yet so ill be a few days on the video.

yeh, i came across this grow by looking up LED grow's and now see a few guy's have caught on!
Here's a poor pic of my DOG. Had to retrieve her from her selfed seed's but grew them befor and their spot on! Sometimes better than the original clone's with having the extra strength coming from seed.

Sorry about the pic. it was a quick snap from a phone :( Plenty good one's a coming!

I feel ya cinders. Nice lil DOG ya got there!

I like the growth from seed but i swear i fuck up seeds like its my job.

Ill have 9/10 seeds pop roots and only 4 will live.... Thats basically what happened here. 5 lived but i killed one with my ph problems hahaha

And DR youre gonna love em for veg! I like that theyre almost as long as a t5 system but a good amount shorter but much longer than a cmh bulb/reflector

So in my 2x4x5 tent i get a nice dispersion. Iused to have to rotate my plants every few days because the outside ones would start leaning/stretching towards the light.

Now 80% of my tent is directly under the light and i can get that light alot closer and dont have to worry about the plants growing into it.

Few days into flower and theyre lookin good! Hopefully have some pictures up tomorrow.

haha, im same sometimes with seed's! I go from the old tissue method, to peat pellet's, and now back using root riot cube's AGAIN and sticking them right in. Just got 3 for 3 and waiting on 3 haha. When i use tissue they usually germ fine, but sometimes just stop and rot before the tap root gets more than 5ml long! Or if i stick them in pellets their easy drowned, or i cant help digging for a peek lol.
These one's i just done you could see the tap root come out the bottom of cube before it surfaced. Here's hoping the other 3 are good too. Nothing worse when using your best seed's, to lose 4 or 5 is a bummer mate! All DOG's ?

Yeah luckily a friend gave me the DOG seeds and i had about 25 of the fems to start with. Still have about 10 ish in the freezer. So the ones lost werent so bad.

Im the same way with germinating. Sometimes i try the paper towel, then rapid rooters, then straight in cups of promix. Either way i kill a solid third of the bunch hahaha.

DR, have you considered doin a DIY LED? You could get 2 or 3 50w chips and lay em out over 2-3 feet and have dimmable drivers??

I was gonna do that before i found grow evolution.

Wouldnt be too hard or expensive. Not sure how big of a veg area youre goin for though haha.

just plant them in not overly wet soil about 1/2 inch deep. put in a dark room and wait 5 days. some will pop up in 3 or 4 days but they can survive without light for like a week.

yea i have bro i have watched a few videos i have priced making induction lights also. on the germ i get a 85 to 100 percent germ on my seed i put them in rain water in coffee mugs for 12 to 24 hours. then i dump them and put them in a paper towel with NEW rain water this is important seed casings put of a growth inhibitor. then in to zip locks folded over not sealed. as they pop i put them in to six pack cells and that is it.

About week 1 of flower, gettin a lil stretch on em but nothing crazy.

Just a few lower leaves that im pretty sure wont recover that are still yellow. Everything else is nice solid green and very dense.

Hope i get some baseball bats!

Got pistols poppin out everywhere! Had some in veg but in just a few days of flower they really started throwin em.

On the watch for BALLS!!!

Transplanted 4 of the clones yesterday and still have the one DOG seed chillin in the VEG tent.

Rigged up my carbon filter the other day because these things already smelled in veg so i can only imagine how theyre gonna smell in flower.

ITS ONNNN!!!!

Looking really good. I will stick around to see the end results. When your girls are further into flowering your more than welcome to submit some pictures to cannabis country for the chance to have them featured as our buds of the week.

Keep up the goodwork. I hope you get those baseball bat sized buds you want.

Thanks! they already should have been at this point a while ago but we had some hiccups along the way.

Feel free to share any of my videos/pictures on your site as well. Love sharing information.

Yeah hiccups happen. Its how you deal with them that matters. Good to see it all worked out.

For me to share them, you would have to submit them. If you go to the contact page of my website you can find the address. Just created a youtube channel to feature reader submitted grow videos. So if you also have videos feel free to submit them also. I literally just created the youtube channel so there are no videos up. So if you submitted one you would be one of the first, even possibly the first.

Hell yeah ill be sure to do that! Been busy lately getting everything on track with the grow. Lockin it down. Gotta make a flower video soon.

Re-installed the carbon filter, hooked it back up to exhaust through the vent so hopefully the temps wont drop too low haha.

They were already smellin in veg like the first few weeks of flower so theyve really started gainin smell lately.

Ill have pictures up soon!! Just editin em now. Still gotta make my home made filter. Pretty sure i just need a green one.

8 clones and 1 seedling recently transplanted and put into the VEG tent.

4 DOGs in flower under the 2x 305w BUD BOSS panels.

Low angle.

Left side.

Right side.

Little less than 2 weeks into flower and theyve stretched a fair bit so far. Id say 3-6 inches.

They look like theyre going to be solid baseball bats from top to bottom. Most of the nodes are an inch apart so hopefully that combined with the LEDs will give us a spectacular yield!!!

They look really healthy man. good save, its gonna pay off. As for smell. use a different extraction fan on a room controller or timer and then just put the carbon filter and fan in the room on all the time recirculating and cleaning the air. This way your scrubber is working all the time to control the smell. :-)
