i'm not a believer in getting pets stoned, although i understand that the ops dog got into his budder, lol, was just saying i don't think animals have a choice like people do.. to me, it kinda feels like lacing bowls with other drugs and not telling the people what's in it and let them think they are smoking just pot.. when i was like 19, these younger kids i hung out with used to do that shit all of the time and it would really piss me off, even though i did more than just smoking bud at the time, lol, i just didn't think it was very cool of them.. i would do just about any drug in my day, but i'd like it to be my choice at least, and well, that's the same way i feel about getting animals stoned.. they just don't have the choice that people do.. now, if my dog wanted to grow his own bud and roll his own j's, i'd be down with smoking out with him, why not, lol.. but until that day happens, i like to keep my bud away from any pets..
and to the op, i know how you're feeling about your dog, we sure can get attached to the fucking flea bags can't we?? we just had to put our 14 year old dog down about a month ago, and it was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do, but it was too much knowing that he was in pain and was suffering that i didn't think we had much of an option but to do the humane thing..
Yea and no. The first time, I'll agree with you, but if you give your doggie a 'special' doggie snack, and each time after that when you offer it to him he gets excited, then its cool. I knew a cat that would get excited every time it saw us getting high because he knew his owner was going to blow smoke in his ear. Its like people, some like getting high, some really don't. So to answer to the point, they may not have a choice a first time, but thats because we lack the ability to explain it to them, but every time after that, it is their choice.

Its ok to allow your cat or dog some weed or beer, they actually enjoy it in small amounts, just like we find it relaxing so do they. You will often find the dog or cat asking for some next time you have a smoke or drink. As you say a cat or dog will allow you to breath smoke in their face so they can get high, yes they like it but never force them and it is as you say a treat and not trying to overdo it either.
If you are doing it to allow the cat and dog to chill then a small amount is fine and why the hell not if they want to. I gave my dogs too much and it was a stupid thing to do but i learnt from that and am dissapointed they dont like weed anymore because they use to like a little and would be great fun when they are chilled out. Peace

DO NOT TRIP OUT, my dog ate 5-6 of our special cookies that were potent to high hell. she puked, but after that she was high for 2 days, wobbly as fuck.... she recovered fully..... now whenever i trim she excpects me to throw her some sugar leaves, and i always ablige.

I dont wanna sound holier than thou, but purposely getting animals stoned is a terrible thing to do. Its just wrong. If it happens by accident, fine. You live and learn, and you probably wont let it happen again. But intentionally getting dogs or cats high is really fucking wrong. You guys can justify it all you like, but it is just wrong. Its not funny, its not cool, its one of the most immature things you can do. Pack of assholes....

I wouldnt buy a pet with the intention of getting it high, yes you are right but i think for a lot of us it starts with the pet being around when smoking weed, they quickly put 1 and 1 together and soon like the smoke and its effects. Yes its bad but to what extent, you get some great interaction time with the pet and the pet feels very relaxed and chilled somthing that they really like with a body full of big high energy muscles.

Pets are part of the family, if they motion to you for a special snack or sit come sit in the room when you are getting high then fine as long as you are sensible and keep it minimal like once a month etc etc. 9 out of 10 animals prefer weed and its relaxing effects and hey this is nature because in the wild animals by choice eat and seek out plants that relax their digestive system and mind so EXSCUSE me mr know nothing about nature.

I was gutted that i stopped my dogs liking weed as it must of really scared them being that stoned, end of a good time we use to have me stoned and them rolling around on the floor. Dogs aint got the greatest of life on a lead and not being able to talk but dont treat them like babies, life is for enjoying, dont get your pet stoned but if he likes the smoke once in a while dont stop him from enjoying his life too. My labradors lived to 14 and 15 and without the canibinols they inhaled in their lives think they would of had a more short and boring life!

Yet as wrong as it is you couldn't come up with a single reason why. Shocker. Go cry a river for the poor dog who got high, I'm sure he's excited because he's being tortured.

Haha, i fed two dogs a half ounce of weed in some brownies, they slept for two days and could barely walk for a day after that, i had to carry one, big labradors! They survived and it was a lot of weed, also pretty quiet and looked like they were deep in thought for a few weeks. They refused to eat any form of canabis since then.
You have no idea of the physiological effects of cannabis on dogs, and neither do I. However, if a person ingested a half ounce of weed in a sitting it wouldnt affect them like it did your dogs. Congratulations on testing your half-baked theories on your loyal pets.

9 out of 10? May I ask where you found these statistics? You have either bound the thc to fats in your brownies or combusted it through burning it to release its potency, yet I know nothing about nature...? Where do weed brownies occur naturally in nature? When has a dog ever sought to self-medicate to relax his mind? You, my good sir, are a moron. Hey, heres a crazy thought. Maybe they came to sit in the room with you for company, like most dogs would...

No, its because there are so many startlingly obvious reasons that to start listing them would be stating the obvious.

If i were given a substance by someone i trusted that left me dazed for days on end, I'd classify that as a breach of trust. By these idiots' own experiences, it is obvious it affects dogs differently to humans.

Neither you nor I know the exact effects it would have on our pets. Its people like you guys that give smokers like us a bad name. You make us all look brain-damaged, immature, and reckless. We have a choice in smoking weed, which we can choose to exercise or not. I can only hope you dont ever care for animals, as you clearly arent mature enough to look after them.

Dogs' lives are a reflection of how their owners treat them. Dogs can have immensely enjoyable lives if you provide it for them. You said they were mentally distant for two weeks! Some life you provided, you thug. How do you come to the conclusion they had a longer life? Please clarify this comment you tool.

Your dog will be just fine. One important thing is that you need to wet a cloth and drip small amounts of water onto his lips and his tongue. This way you can be sure he is getting hydrated. If he decides to drink on his own do not let him drink too much at first as it may cause him to vomit. So just small amounts five min. apart until you are sure he is keeping it down. The most important thing is to watch for signs of DEHYDRATION : eyelids a dull white color instead of pinkish red, also the lips will turn white or grey as will the gums. The skin can seem very loose like it lost its elasticity . One way to tell is to grab the skin on the scruff of the neck [gently] and pull up streching it. Quickly open your hand letting go. If the skin does'nt snap back right away and somewhat stays the way you streched it then more than likely your animal friend is dehydrated. You may also see sheding which is common with dehydration. Just Drip small amounts 1/2 oz water on the lips and tongue every hour until he can drink on his own. Marijuana is not lethal !!! Dehydration can be.
Happy now dickhead? There is your one reason.

First off, never given any of my pets enough to make them dazed for days, or even a day. And if they enjoy it, whats the problem again? Whatever, your looking for something to bitch about..

†rolls eyes† Wow your dramatic, aren't you? I've been getting my pets high for 15 years without any such incident. Not a once. By that logic, don't go outside, its possible to get dehydrated. Nothing but emotional arguments, without an inkling of substance to support. Its called moderation, very simple things. They have smaller bodies and don't need nearly as much. Normally a hit does them. the doggie treats were made from scratch and never that strong. And apparently I was mature enough because I never pushed any of my animals limit. And dickhead, huh? Damn sure better then being like you, just another bitch. Thank you, and goodnight

†LHAO† "You thug" wow...seriously?!! whats next, are you going to call him a "ruffian"?! "hooligan, miscreant!!" †LHAO† *shifts to narrators voice* Kingrow1 was all of these things and more. Leaving a proud legacy of thuggishness, and a wake of mentally distant dogs (1), he also *gasp* got high himself. Note to Kingrow1: Your legacy of thugishness makes us proud, thug on... :blsmoke:

You claim to be all about giving dogs a better life? Do you get high? If not, why are you here? If so, why do you do it?! Probably because it improves your quality of life. Why the hell wouldn't we share it with man's best friend. Holding out isn't righteous, its stingy. Let them enjoy what we enjoy. Do things go a little far sometimes, sure, but thats life, live and learn. But don't act like its some life altering event, all my dogs were known for being spoiled and happy.

If i knew you personally, id report you to your local society of prevention of cruelty to animals for it. They could have just as happy lives without it.

Yes i do get high, and that is a choice i make of my own free will. I think its a mark of your character, youre obviously a douche. Dont claim its stingy, im a generous person and i dont feel the need to get my dog high. Why would you ever put your loyal pet in a position where things get pushed too far? If you feel you cant provide them with a happy existence without doping them up, then youre obviously incapable of caring for animals properly.
I should learn my lesson and stop arguing with a moron like you, because you will inevitably drag me down to your mental age of 6 and you obviously have a wealth of experience at that level... Good luck and goodbye. I wish you didnt care for animals, unfortunately they cant choose their owners.

Maybe someone could train their dogs to grow weed too!lolololo!

I LIKE TUTRLESSSSSSSSSSS

that u by any chance?
See this is the problem with RIU. Too many douche bags, with a group mentality. In my opinion, if you purposely feed drugs to your dog, youre a douche. simple. If you condone it, youre a douche.
Turtles are fine, each to their own. But if i got one as a pet, i wouldnt get it high. Why? Im not an immature douche. See a pattern emerging?
P.s. you spelt turtles wrong.
