Does the Northern Lights #5 from the 90’s still exist?

Here is the NL2 tester nugs from my outdoor garden. The largest nugs were 4 inches long and easily 2 inches wide. I should have taken pics of the plant but it was shaded by another one, and smaller since I put it out late. Even still it produced some of the best smoke and biggest, densest, stankiest nugs in the garden.

Only Bodhi's Sun Ra (SFV OG x Wookie 15) was more loud than this as far as those deep myrcene earthy musk flavors are concerned. In fact, this reminds me a lot of the Sun Ra, probably from the OG lineage I'm guessing.

I’ve heard a lot of bad stories about jah, but a lot of good stories about their gear. I’ll check this out.

Do you know any details on the purple nl5 Bodhi used? Shoe speculated it was just an nl5 pheno from the bcsc stock that Bodhi grew out and liked. I'm curious because i have the purp nl5/88 ghash on the way from jbc.

that's what I've read too. I've also seen purple nl5 used as a male (bshw x nl5 purple), and maybe some others (there's a post on icmag about it from 2015)

Have some #5 from him that I've yet to pop.. and... honestly wouldn't know the difference. Also have some of Shantibaba's seeds. Probably should do both (at the same time) for comparison. Both regular seeds.

No one has what everyone came to know as the nl#5. Even greg dont have it. The nl#5 nevil got in seed form was different from the one they were using in the usa. Nevil selected his from those different seeds that were sent to him. They were from the usa nl#5 backcrossed to the steves afghan x nevils mazar. The plant nevil selected from those seeds he couldn't find again. Greg no longer has nevils mazar or the usa#5 clone neither the steve Afghan clone (just seeds of steves afghan, and seeds he claims are usa#5) so the same seeds cant even be made. Nevil lost his clone in raids so the proper nl#5 what everyone got to know is gone.

This 100% closest ive came across in decades was nevils nl2 x nl5 a bunch of folks still got that from bc seedstock that they got from the seedbank way back as you said the usa nl isnt the one we all seeking it is nevils own cut that was the superior and more indica based vs the usa one hence why even the nl crew bought nevils seeds not something you would do if yours was the best line imo

Fuck Riot. The rest of that list is primo. I grew Ak's 89 NL and it was an awesome plant. I have AG's, like 100 of them, no time to grow but I have done a lot of research and I think they're legit.

Yeah not a riot fan either, but I do think csi is quality, so I ain't mad at the beans they made together. I have ag's f2's and akbb's various nl packs.

I believe what most people that are asking for 90s NL5 is what Sensi Seeds was selling as NL5, and those genetics are still around from seeds that came from Sensi Genetics. Several people have them. Sensi still had the original genetics up until about 10 years ago, and were still advertising it as nl5. But then they stopped calling it NL5, and just call it NL.
AKBeanBrains. Joey Weed. The Green Stash. They all have the Sensi 90s genetics, though they of course dont have the original breeding plants Sensi had in the 90s. But as far as what was being sold in the 90s as NL5. Those genetics are still around.

Yeah the ones that are using nevils work via sensi indeed is the nl5 folks are after the ag one is the usa one and isnt the one most folks will remember from back in the day cos nevils cut was more indica than the usa nl5 cut
