Does cell phone video contain tracking info..?.., such as GPS location of where video was recorded..? like when people post videos from there grow from YpuTube..?.., can that be coded with a GPS LOCATION like they can do with EFIX on cell phone pics posted on the internet..?

If u was to upload a pic directly from your phone to the internet can there be a way to know where the video was recorded from..?

Thanks for your time..?

no haha, there is no way you can be tracked through your cell phone having these types of things, for all they know you couldve just lived in a state where it was illegal and then moved to say canada, colorado or california and still have your same number. all phones have the option to turn GPS off as well, so you could simply do that just be double safe, the only way they would ever want to look into this is if you really are not being careful and just putting this every where on any site with all your information included. its very hard to even track people through ISP due to the amount of people who own computers these days.

the police will never look into matters that are petty, like i said unless you are constantly asking for it, then they will have a reason to. even if you get arrested they will 9/10 not even bother looking into every thing on your phone, as they have probably hundreds sitting in a basket already from the people who are already in jail, now if you get caught for something related to cannabis they can and have every right to look into anything they feel if the case is big enough. hope this helped make you feel safer. peace.

so unless your doing stupid things like some people just asking to get caught you should have no worries at all mate.

one more thing too is never label the names in your numbers based on drugs, if you are ever in really tight jam and you have to use your cellphone to let someone know in order to help you the officer will make the call for you and he or she will see the names listed in your phone.

haha i made this mistake once, luckily he didnt go down that far though. i was like oh god i have a man named fungi, in my phone he is going to know whats that about, but honestly they cant really do anything if you dont have anything on you that related to that. heh

I would think if you had a new enough phone with all the bells and whistles it may have GPS encoded but just turn it off when you do your thing. Otherwise unless you have 1000's of plants I doubt anyone cares to try and bust a few plants grown by Joe Smith down the road for personal.

The haha is on you. YES video can and is geotagged when taken with GPS enabled cellphones. Disable the GPS function and no geotracking, you hope....Even when your cellphone is turned off the DEA and FBI can remotely enable the unit to act as a bug. Only way around this is to remove the battery.........There are a few members here that know first hand about outdoor grows being tracked because of cellphone pics/vids....

here is a link that cleans pic and vid files for free. It will remove that pesky data. Also did you know when you paintbrush your face out of a picture then put it on the web only simple software is needed to restore it to original. Unless cleaned by a program like the one above......

the haha is not one me because i simply suggested just like everyone else did any smart phone has the option to turn it off. so how is the haha on me?

everyone here is suggesting the same thing i just told him. if you have the DEA and FBI on you then i highly freaking doubt you would be taking pictures or videos or anything related period. so yea haha.

there are tons of people who do that, working with photoshop on the regular basis, there literally is no way way to edit layers if the picture is saved correctly, now yea if you sit there and upload the picture containing those layers then they can do that otherwise its impossible.

like i said in my first post, if you have the police tailing you, especially the DEA or FBI, it would sound literally insane for you to be even doing that, if you knew they were like i said in first post, then your asking to be put in jail.
and i never said they couldnt, i told him that if they are looking for you its very possible other than that relax you have nothing to worry about.

in my case i have a android i can simply turn GPS off, im going to look into your phone and see if i can help you in how to turn yours off as well. seriously unless your being tailed dont even bother being online talking or even posting about what your doing
that isnt safe and if you know that the cops are looking for you im pretty sure you would be keeping everything extremely low key.

if the police are searching for you this would be completely useless i can promise you that, i know my phone even has the option for geotagging as well, which i never use, the only reason geotagging exist, is to help with programs that use user based GPS related programs like cop trackers, or just adding local restaurants to things like google maps, so others can see the information you have admitted. if they care enough to bust your for something as simple a cannabis related issues, then you must be growing a ton of weed where its illegal and making millions otherwise they arent going to care at all, just that simple. my mothers boyfriend is a detective, i think i would know, not to sound like a smart ass, he has talked to me about this and of course why wouldnt i want to know how it actually works from a cops perspective, they just dont bother with petty crimes its a huge waste of time for them in every aspect when they could be catching real criminals, it takes them literally hours and hours just to put someone in jail for a petty problem like that, any cop hates the paperwork, they just want something thats going to get them a lump some of money from a ticket not a measly bust.

alright man so i spent like a hour looking into your phone specs as well as manuals and on At&T itself, it doesnt seem to really have an option to turn it off. seeing as i dont use this phone its hard for me to look into its options or settings to see if its possible but from what i saw, its only a AT&T GPS nav system, if it asks you every time you use it to accept a agreement that once its turned on it tracks you than im guessing as far as turning it on and off, the only time it will be in use is when your using your GPS within the phone, if once you accept this agreement for you GPS and it no longer asks, then it could be possible once you accept the agreement it will forever be on, if i was you just look into your phones settings see if it has anything GPS related and get back to us, if its what i described and you can no longer choose the agreement everytime you use you GPS then its on forever, if it always ask then it only turns on when you select your phones GPS im guess it always ask if it doesnt have that option itself to turn it off and on.

let me know. hope this helped peace. happy new years people.
