Under 13 you good, if he blames you kust say its the teenage rebellion atage and hed blame his own grandma for growing weed if he had a chance. ;)

No need for a lawyer or bail, let thw bugger learn the ropes of being inside. Then ya can get him to put drugs up his bum in the future for a new mule in the local bin.

Hope that helps.

When I was a kid I borrowed 6 golf carts.. one ended up in the bay and one caught on fire. All of them were considered licensed vehicles. I went on probation. Failed every drug test for like half a year. Then she stopped calling me in. I think she gave up on me lol

Yeah, all of what Lacedwitgame said and also how pre-trial services and the Judge are feeling. Good possibility of probation or diversion or community service depending on resources in the community. Probation can be kind of a crap-shoot for kids...terms that we could easily meet as adults can be difficult for kids and they often violate probation, go into the kiddie jail for a short time, get out with probation extended, screw up again...wash/rinse/repeat until they get busted for a commitable offense. A lawyer is never a bad idea, but make the kid pay for it all (including court costs and any missed work time for the parents)...time to learn the law lessons is before you're an adult.

edit: you don't want him going to juvie...very easy to pick up new charges...assault for protecting yourself, destruction of state property, etc.

If hes white & first offense......im going to call 12 months of informal probation & a handfull of hours of community service.
Especially if hes in california..
