Pretty much, you could get away with like 2 of those during the first phase..
. As in when it's a sprout! But once Your point gets big your going to want to have c f l's all around the plant itself and 1/2/3 on top. I think the guy that posted before me was just directing you toward a cheap ordering site for c f l's. I myself just go out and steal them, home depot, dollar general, walmart.... including all of the adapters I need to! But, I'm sure you get the point... I'm not promoting this whatsoever, I just have a problem with getting back at major corporations! :u

Nonetheless, to answer your question, to grow a pot plant you will need more then 1 c f l. Period.

I'll use atleast10- 15,000 lumines per square foot for my grow box... check out my tread thats titled "undercover grow, coming along ok? " and read the entire thing. It answers a lot of questions about suplies that you can get at walmart, home depot, etc. Just normal average joe places

you crack me up. how you steal a big ass light bulb is beyond me but more power to you. I agree fuck major corporations, I do small things such as get a beverage everytime I go in, drink it and never pay for it. small cahoots compared to your lights and adaptors, anyway FINALLY a break through in my lighting issues Ive been having. :bigjoint:
so I need lots of lights. or at least lots of 42 watts which I can pick up at home depot.... I have 6 plants, only 1 of them really looks good and worth keeping. its just if I put all my time and energy into a plant and it comes out male, I might cry.
6 plants is to many for me, I dont know what I was thinking :wall:

I just went through the same thing bro.... I got lucky even with all the stress I put on the plant, it turned out female! Go to the thrift store and buy you a Cheap cabinet or build one. When you're good... go to walmart while wearing a big ass jacket through the garden center. Go grab a timer made by brinks to cut the lights on n off, a bunch of big c f l bulbs and maybe a cpl bulb splitters and a surge protector

Its easy wit a huge jacket and takes only secs, ...

well I am girl and not very handy with tools, so no cabnet building for me. I have a closet, I have the brinks timer and some CFL bulbs... but not enough thats my problem....
what is a bulb splitter?

Good overall break down in that link

The sun produces a little over 10,000 lumens per sq.ft. With young seedlings you wanna start with 3-5000 lumens to get'em started till they're about 4-6" tall then add 1 23-26W CFL. I add bulbs at certain point of the grow cuz plants usually require a little more light then what they were vegged under. So for vegging i average 8-9000 lumen per sq.ft. and durring flower increase to about 10-11000 per sqft.

Simply with your 6 seedlings i'd have at least 1 23-26W per. I personally do an even mix of 27K and 65K for sprouts then switch when i wanna kick into veg by switching to at least 80% 65k lighting to 20% 27K lights...OR...just go 100% 65K

Hook you up something like that; it doesn't have to be much does it? I'd hook you up if you lived around me and make you something! Hell, this is my 5th "undercover growbox" in less than 4 months! And they all just get cooler and cooler and better and better! I love coming up with new ways to hide this shit.... it's an addiction! And I don't even care about making too much money, few hundred bucks and some free smoke and I'm GOOD! :)

Just Google.com "how to make a grow box" or "how to make an undercover grow box" or "how to fabricate a speaker box grow box", shit like that! You'll find you something! Promise ;)

No you can definetely grow a 12/12 from seed, with a 15w cfl, but you would only get a couple grams, you dont need 6-45w bulbs a plant, unless you re want a big plant, which would not be a good idea since cfls penetration sucks, you usually need to keep your plants small or lst them so the light spreads more evenly across the plant, right now I am running a 12/12 from seed, with 4 plants with ~140w, am keeping the lights an inch or less from the plants, there is a person who grew a plant with a 15w cfl and he got some potent bud, but not much.
