Seeing as how cannabis is one of the best expectorants around, I cannot blame anyone that needs to hack up after a smoke. Better out than in, IMO. Otherwise what, swallow it so it comes back up a few minutes later? Or expectorate the phlegm like the body wants you to...that seems better to me.

Either that or clean your pipe once in a while.
I screen all my pipes this way its easier to clean and gives me a nice resin ball that i can scoop like ice cream all in 1 shot.
That and i get zero blow back from loose, burnt particulate...
