Neither world would be all fairies and rainbows man! Historically, there were numerous cultures without religion and they all fought and killed each other just as religious societies do. Come on.

It's seems as though there's something in our nature that inspires a tendency to fight and protect. I would say it's rooted in biology. Not to be determinist about it, but the issue seems complex.
You obviously haven't read all of what I've written recently.
I never said it would be a fairy tale but you can't tell me it wouldn't be better. In no way am I saying it would be any better off in the long run than a society with religion.
Atleast it would be logical and not built on lies.
That is what I want. A world where people who are supposed to "lead you in the right direction" do not lie to children and try to force everyone to believe them.

I guess I'm glad you enjoy being lied to

People choose everything from tying their own shoelaces (I'm still working on that one) to what they are going to eat, to believing in religion. No one has argued about anyone's right to do that. The problem arises when a religion is a cult and is determined to recruit by any means necessary including lies and subtefuge.

Just as in UFO's extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof.
When one sees the historical and societal damage caused by cult religions (both Christianity and Islam) vying for world dominance (and they both are), and the violence and mayhem caused while at the same time telling everyone that it is about love, I must speak up.
Since the Bible is inherently flawed and is certainly the work of men and not a G*D, I find it demands my time to point out the lies. If what I say upsets you, then disprove me. I have been posting far too many times here waiting for someone to actually dispute the wild contradictions of the Bible, and all I have perused is platitudes and offbeat comments not on target to the real issue of offering up a reasonable defense for validating the word of G*D through the holy scripture. :peace:

I will give the faith of Islam one DISTINCT advantage...Mohammed was a REAL person and can actually be proven. jesus has never been proven to have ever existed on earth.
Even so, both religions are completely dangerous.

I agree. It's time for religion to go the way of the dinosaurs. Let everyone have their own personal beliefs....and leave me and mine the hell out of it!

Uh... TRYINGTOMASTRKUSH keeps saying again and again that he doesnt think that a world without religion would be perfect, all fairies and rainbows, without killing etc..... He has made it clear that he does not think that. Why would you come back with a comment like this when he has made it CLEAR that he doesn't think that? Is this your strategy - to attempt to put words into other's mouths? Have some respect.

This is why "non believers" continue to reiterate their point... Because people like you who repetitively continue to cover a completely moot point. It's been clarified. Please give everyone some respect and not continue to backtrack a point that has been covered. All it does is make your argument look idiotic. Keep up with the convo bro.

Non believer: I don't believe there is a God

Believer: WHAT? You rape babies??

Non Believer: Rape babies? What? No! Wtf are you talking about?

Believer: This man hates God and rapes babies everyone!

Non Believer: No.. I dont. God doesnt exist to hate and I would never harm a baby.

Believer: Yes.. He just said he rapes babies and hates women and worships the devil and sacrifices homeless people.

Non Believer: Dude.. youre crazy. Im outta here

Beliver: HA! Can't stand the heat huh? Maybe cuz you KNOW GOD EXISTS! Walk away buddy! Walk away! I hope you find God my friend.. I will pray for you cuz I love you!

Of course this is just a reinactment but funny none-the-less

God is a consuming fire...this be the day that God is going to burn up the things that are false...thus creating a new heaven and earth.

Do not be caught in the fire.
When you have nothing left to burn you must set yourself on fire.:fire:

There's a big difference between saying something and repeating a premise that must be present in order to prove your point. And don't get on my case for questioning for further clarification. You yourself are making assumptions about me that are completely wrong, so back off yourself. If my argument is 'idiotic', then please explain to me - what's my argument. I didn't present ANYTHING resembling an argument except for the fact that man will ALWAYS fight and kill - no matter what. It's not my fault you can't keep up dude. I'm outta this conversation - I gotta go teach theodicy and Anselm. Peace...

You are making some idiotic arguments so you can stop yourself from looking like a fool but im sorry its a little too late.

You made that post implying that I think a world without religion would be a fairy land. I, in fact, said the OPPOSITE and you ignored that just so you could make another argument. That is idiotic.
Keep digging the hole though :wall:

I think more or less that humans were the one who created god. People wanted answers to how we came to be and its human nature to be curious and ask questions and to be scared of the unknown and with religion comes relief of that. I'm not saying their isn't a "God" but i'm not saying their is. i think more or less we live on threw are children what are parents learned from their parents gets past down to them and then then our parents pass down what they have learned and so forth.

There's nothing wrong with admitting that you need the crutch of a myth to support yourself. Just don't insist that others need that crutch as well. The Christian religion as well as Islam is a cult, nothing more.
