Do I need a inline fan that's made for lights?

Like you said though people are happy with it that's all that matters
I don't wanna jack this thread, but I cut off contact with that guy as he was buying my harvests off me to smoke and then called his setup "efficient" one day.

Would venting the hot air from inside the tent into the same room as the tent be a problem? I have no where else to vent the air

Oh and one of those 25$ dehumidifiers the BOOM you got a grow machine
What it all boils down too is how much money you want to spend. If you want to do it cheap I would try to find an old fridge, people give those away. Then you could finagle some lights around CFL, t5, maybe a cheap craigslist LED, pc fans would work for air transfer, desk fan to circulate air, boom you got yourself a grow machine lol.

you don't need them but the one's from like home depot are junk and hardly push any air, I had one on about 10 foot of duct and it felt like it couldn't blow over a seedling lol

Duct boosters are typically used for intake, or used for an exhaust for smaller veg/clone tents using CFLS.

A duct booster won't be strong enough to use with a carbon filter or air cooled light.

Yes it would be a problem unless you have the AC running hard or a window AC unit in that room. The reason being is you're exhausting HOT air from the bulb. You'll essentially be using that same hot air as well, eventually you'd just keep recycling that same hot air and it'll get hotter each time.

Duct boosters don't work, they don't push enough volume of air or have a motor capable of working under a load. Get inline fans designed for your lights. You won't regret it.

FYI an nline fan is a lot noisier then the duct booster you have now. Also i pull the air through my lights, i don't push any. I don't think that this really matters but if it were me i would put the fan at the end of the run of air and discharge the warm air outside of the room. You can also put the lights in any configuration you want. 600 before 1000 or 1000 before 600. If you are set up right both hoods should be slightly warm. I run 1 8" fan per 3 1000w reflectors, i can touch the glass and top of the hood without discomfort.
Thank you, picked one up today. Thing moves air aggressively and wasn't even $100. I got a DuraBreeze 6 inch. 435 CFM
Duct fans don't do anything for a light... These things are great

I do use a duct booster on my co2 generator to reduce heat in my room. I run the burner remote and use the duct booster to cycle air through the burner. One day I'll put an icebox on it and have a diy homemade watercooled generator lol.
