do growers of other crops use all the same

nutrients, additives, flushes and all that other stuff in between as people who grow cannabis? i know lots of the nutrients are general purpose at the hydro store but some sound like they are geared towards cannabis. bud candy? and other stuff that sounds appealing. i mean, who would feed molasses to a tomato plant or other crop that is eaten? or is it a common thing that farmers use the stuff from the hydro store? i mean, who would use liquid light or gravity to make the buds denser other than for cannabis, right? i was just pondering this after buying new nutrients.

different species of plants use different amounts of nutrients. Nutrients targetted towards cannabis growing are specific to cannabis, so a corn or soybean farmer would not use cannabis noots.

Also, because cannabis is such a cash crop, there are many more 'little' additives that normally would not be worth it for other crops to use on.

so if i were to buy some bud candy, some raspberry bud candy flavor additive, some gravity and one other one i saw to make dense buds, the hydro store can pretty make a guess as to what i'm growing and be right. thanks for your insight, it helped me understand.

No, because generally speaking, cannabis growers are young, dumb and gullible and the canna-specific nutrient companies know this and capitalize on it by selling all kind of crap that's not needed. Kiddie growers eat that shiz up because they just don't know any better.

absolutely no doubt about it =]

One of the few exceptions is General Hydroponics "Flora" 3 part series, there are some other farmers that use that, but I'd say the vast majority is cannabis. Also, Cal+Mag supplements may not be specifically for cannabis, but mostly everything else is without adoubt

I was lucky, I guess. I started out in orchids and ferns. The orchid mags have the 'orchid specific' stuff, just not as much stuff there is for the canna-specific. LOL, I guess you're kind of limited with orchids with how much different stuff you can come up with.:spew:

So, I didn't spend all that much $$$$ to figure out, the orchid 'Rocket fuels/Snake Oil' stuff was just that, and never bit on the canna-specific anything.

The garden, container plants and the mj all pretty much get the same nutes, a combo of stuff that comes in 5-50lb bags and Jack's Classic when needed, all available locally.
