Do all clones have alternating nodes?

My Mothers from seeds all had parallel nodes, but ALL my clones have alternating nodes.

Waz up wid dat! (fact of life?)

I'd like to do an Uncle Bud 4 banger but you need parallel nodes.

If you clone from it when the mother has alternating nodes, then yes. It's just something that is about the age of the plant.

so if i were to want to have parallel on my clones, i must clone a mother that has parallel nodes?

Well on most every older plant I have seen they stop running that way after a while... So ultimately there's nothing you can do. Can I ask what you're trying to achieve?

I wanted to do the Uncle Ben's topping for 4 colas.

My Mothers from seeds had parallel nodes, but the clones from thier branches have alternating.

I guess I'm screwed (or go back to seeds)...???

hey dude your plants only have parralell nodes when they are young and sexualy imature then when they reach maturity the nodes start alternating to show they have reached sexual maturity hope this helps
