some info i saw from rick white.....i so hope this is true....i will still be using my 50/50 method with indicas though...but might try this and see how it works.....

The Growers Bible says that milky trichomes signals peak THC production. This suggests that light passed through heavy THC concentration produces a milky color. This is a physical effect that the THC molecule has on light, particularly how it refracts the light. Sodium has the effect of refracting the red light spectrum - this makes light passed through sodium appear orange or red. A polar Bear's fur is actually clear but refracts the light to make it appear white. Get the idea?

Amber trichomes most likely are caused by THC that is degraded into another chemical - one that refracts the light differently.

Anyway, it is the way the light is refracted that tells us what a substance is composed of. The belief that the THC is "more ready" when it changes colors just doesn't make sense.

In all likeliness, the more white a trichome is the higher the THC concentration. When they become amber, the THC has decomposed into IDK what. That is the way this type of chemical identification works.

Harvesting when trichomes are full milky is probably the best time. Amber trichomes means you waited too long.

yes...but sativas will always have lower levels of cbd, cdc, cbl, cbn, and thcv....so you want to have the highest level of thc in most sativa strains...if you growing an indica then the other areas of cannabinoids will matter more

so to sum it up and make it more simple...one would not want to wait to harvest a sativa when the trichs turn amber...sativas..no matter how amber the trichs are will not produce the levels of cbd that an incida plant will...so by waiting longer your degraded the thc % while not adding to much of a cbd % because sativas naturally do not produce the higher cbd that an indica will....so as it comes to sativa...its best to harvest with all cloudy trichs..if you wait to long your losing the thc % without getting any extra cbd.if you want the total couchlock...get an indica and let the trichs go amber...if you want the head "up" type high...get a satica and harvest with cloudy trichs

its really going to be strain dependent...some can take longer some can take less...then whether or not its a hyrid will effect it....i would just go by what trait is more dominant the the other...most dont have a 50/50 mix...usually more like 60/40 or 70/30

here is some more info i found on this subject......
THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) gets a user high, a larger proportion of THC will produce a stronger high. Without THC you don't get high.

THC is responsible for most of the cerebral (mental) effects of cannabis. Besides potentially inducing feelings of euphoria and happiness, THC can cause people to feel anxious, nervous, or paranoid.

CBD (Cannabidiol) increases some of the effects of THC and decreases other effects of THC. Larger amounts of CBD tend to relax both mind and body, and decrease feelings like anxiety, nervousness, and paranoia.

Cannabis that has a high level of THC and low level of CBD will produce a very strong cerebral high. The body may feel more physically energetic when compared to ingesting cannabis with larger levels of CBD.

Cannabis that has a high level of both THC and CBD will produce a fairly strong cerebral high. The body will feel somewhat relaxed and heavy. At lower dose sizes, physical activity is possible (with effort).

Cannabis that has low levels of THC and high levels of CBD will produce more of a stoned feeling. The mind feels relaxed and dull, the body feels relaxed and heavy, most people do not like to engage in physical activity.

CBC (Cannabichromene) is not psychoactive in pure form, and is not known to interact with THC to affect the high.

CBL (Cannabicyclol) is a degradative product like CBN. Light converts CBC to CBL.

CBN (Cannabinol) is produced as THC ages. High levels of CBN tend to make a person feel messed up rather than high. CBN levels can be kept to a minimum by storing cannabis products in a dark, cool, airtight environment.

THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin) is found primarily in strains of African and Asian cannabis. THCV increases the speed and intensity of THC effects, but also causes the high to end sooner.

If you are a grower, you can experiment with different strains of marijuana to produce the various qualities you seek. A medical marijuana patient looking for something with sleep inducing properties might want to produce a crop that has high levels of CBD.

Another person looking for a more energetic high will want to grow a strain that has high levels of THC and low levels of CBD. In general, Cannabis sativa has lower levels of CBD and higher levels of THC. Cannabis indica has larger amounts of CBD and lower amounts of THC than sativa.

what the hell does k2 have to do with anything...that is a chemical...jwh....do your research....of course that has no thc...its not marijuana...its a chemical that reacts almost the same as marijuana...but with many side effect....you tried to state that you can get high without having thc....well no shit..many things will get you high..but marijauna HAS to have thc to get you high...who the fuck cares about those lil kid drugs you can buy at the gas station
to sum it up marijuana has to have thc to get you high...but nice try...the info i posted was on weed...not jwh...which was created in effort to mimic thc

Oh snap, I'm thinking another week and a half or 2 weeks on the KandyKush. Idk, we will see soon! Hairs are finally starting to receed and the lower buds seem like they might start getting amber in them! Have you looked @ party girl under the scope at all yet?
