DIY Reservoir Sight Level

Some time ago I had seen a post for a cloner. They had constructed it with a 'Sight Level' so you could check the water level without opening the top. I bookmarked it and went back to look at it a few days ago. Now that I have plants using more water it makes sense. I can check water levels and record water intake, than fill the reservoirs.
Soo.. of to my trusty little Hydro Shop, has to be something simple. They have these grommets that they stock for Ebb And Flow Buckets. This makes this so simple I am almost embarassed to post the process. Almost.
Here are the things I used, a 13/16" drill bit, a pilot drill, a grommet an elbow some tubing and an electrical tie. Drill your pilot hole, and final hole. I don't know if you can see the grove in the grommet or not, in any case, push it thru your de-burred hole., attach the elbow and tubing, measure your water and mark it as you fill it. Done. THe blue tubing will keep algea out. VV:blsmoke::mrgreen:

I think its possible they might with time and pressure. The cone design should spread the load and drive it tighter. If it start to leak I will probably silicone it in place, so far its working, I let you know Fletch. VV:confused:

Fletch shows what he uses in his aero build thread, I think it was. Its a better fitting and has a washer for it similar to what you have for flood and drain fittings. These cost less than those, it cost me exactly $13.00 the parts for 6 reservoirs, tubing and all. VV
