White Widow, Master Kush and I would say either Cinderella 99 or Critical Mass! FYI C-99, Bubbaliscious and Northern Lights are very low odor strains.
Alright, I think i'm getting somewhere... I want to make sure I pick the best 3 strains for the highs i'm looking for.. I want a good mix, seeing as though this is mostly for myself...

I really think 3-4 plants would be OK w/ the 250 watt HPS w/ some side lighting... 2 plants and it's all good... 3 sounds like it may be the magic number, especially w/ feminized seeds... I'm not sure which seedbank i'm gonna use yet (i think i've asked this before, maybe not), but which one do you use?

Looking at Nirvana's website, looks like they have some reasonable prices and some nice info.. May choose somewhere else, but based on the info they gave on different strains, here's what i'm thinking.. As long as all 3 can survive under the same exact conditions, i'd like to have a Sativa dominant, Indica dominant, and a Hybrid.. So here's my 3 choices, I think, for now.. lol

White Widow
Legendary
Tall, delicate
Lots of resin
Hybrid
300-400g
Medium height
9-11 weeks

Mau Wauie
Lanky, Tropical
Citrussy, Smooth
Sativa
400-500g
Tall height
9-11 weeks

Bubblelicious
Very resinous
Sweet taste
Vigorous plant
Indica dominant
400-500g
Low height
9-11 weeks

Obviously would have to adjust Bubblelicious and WW to keep an even canopy, but that shouldn't be a problem... This would give me a nice combination of smoke.. I love to mix different high quality weed in king size zig zags.. You can really produce some smooth, tasty smoke.. Not something I do on a regular basis, but is definetely something I enjoy from time to time...

Or should i replace the Maui Wauie w/ another Sativa dominant strain? My lower temperatures and humidity plus being indoors is probably not the optimal conditions for a tropical plant.. Not really sure of any others, most seem to be Indica dominant or Hybrid..

What about some auto's... Thats what I'm trying next. Easyryder. I havn't used seed banks yet just got clones from friends. I need a seed bank for the easyryder seeds though. I hear good things about Nirvana.

White hairs, white hairs, white hairs...

Taller plant seemed a bit droopy yesterday, so she was fed w/ a Big Bloom & Molasses mixture... they really seem to like the molasses... Only concern i have is it attracting bugs, especially if you use it every watering...

Looks like both plants will be on a different watering schedule now, as the smaller plant didn't need water yesterday.. I continue to mist leaves w/ straight water 1-2 times daily, always @ lights on time each day...

Here's a pic of each plant... any thoughts on strain?

although it seems like it just started yesterday, 2mor will complete the first 4 weeks of flowering... that plus 4 weeks of veggin'... This grow is now 8 weeks old!! Wow... time flies fast... White hairs have been growing rapidly for the past week or so, while the first 2.5 weeks or so they were just growing like trees.. 3-4 inches a day...

I plan on watering the smaller plant tonight, and possibly the large one as well... This time I am going w/ straight water... I know people suggest using molasses each time, but I'd like to give them one more good watering of just pure water before the flushing process begins (4-5 more weeks prolly)...

Still kicking myself for not going w/ 5 gallon pots... Not even going to risk moving them at this point... maybe next time

All seems to be doing well though... Some of the fan leaves are a bit droopy, but i believe the watering should cure that in a matter of hours after it takes place.. From previous experiences outdoors, around week 5 or so of flowering I usually notice fan leaves starting to look worse (yellowing/crispy/etc)... So based on that, i'm allready expecting to see the leaves looking worse going forward...

That's all for now folks....

happy to smokin'!!! :bigjoint:

Alright, 28 days of veg and 28 days of flower... Lights off right now, but i'm smelling a much stronger smell as compared to last night when lights went on.. $50 air purifier was doing the trick for the last 3 weeks, not sure if it's gonna make it through to the end though... lol

Curious to see what's going on inside there... Watered yesterday w/ a mixture of 1 tbspn molasses and 1 tbspn big bloom per gallon.. Considerable change in leaves overnight.. Still trying to get down some sort of watering schedule in flowering.. Veg was easy, every 5 days, water... never deviated from that...

MORE GOOD NEWS!!! Side lighting is ready to go once lights come back on.. here's the supplies i picked up at Lowe's..

10.5 Clamp Heat Lamp Reflector $11.99

65watt (300 watt equivilent) CFL bulb.. 3900 lumens, 2700k... $11.99

Y-Socket adapater

Socket adapter for 65 watt CFL...

So, here's what we've got... I've got a short table lamp that i will be utilizing as well as the reflector... The 65 watt CFL would not work in the reflector w/o the socket adapter.. Still haven't decided which way i want to go w/ it... I've got 2 23watt CFLs (2700k) laying around that i will utilize w/ the y-socket.. Just have to decide where i'm putting the 65 watter and where i'm putting the 2 23 watters... As long as it will work, i'd rather use the 65 watter in the short lamp, positioned where it will really light up the bottom part of the plants..

They didn't have a 6500k 65 watt bulb, or i would have snagged one of them as well for the veg stage... Guessing about 4-5 more weeks away from flower, and I want to have a second crop vegged for 2 weeks under flouresents/cfl's and ready to go under the HPS when the first ladies are chopped.. That being said, in about 2-3 weeks i will start germinating some more seeds.. Shit, i still need to order some.. damnit.. lol

Anyways.. i'll try to get a pic up once the lights go on and i get everything setup according to plan... 65 watts + 46 watts.. 111 added watts of light to the 250 watt hps.. so i guess my setup is now going to be 361 watts... WOOHOO!!!

Due to the size and weight of the bulb, i've decided to use the 65 watt CFL under the heat lamp reflector and use the Y-socket adapter on the small lamp to install the 2 23 watt CFLs... the y-socket adapater fits into the reflector, but the bulbs push up against the reflector on the top side.. seems like that's not a good fit...

I'm pretty fed up w/ the system at this point... I've been smokin shake and roaches for the past 3 days... I refuse to buy large ammount of MJ not knowing the quality as well as spending numerous days buying smaller ammounts... It's just started to become a pain... I'm sure i'll give in in a day or two and buy a sack, but for now, i'd rather smoke less and just wait for my harvest...

Lights are all setup and running.. I got the clamp reflector w/ the 65 watt CFL about midways up the plants.. It's giving one plant a bit more light than the other, but i rotate the plants each day as well as turn them 90 degrees or so, so that shouldn't be a problem.. It's about 4-5 inches away for now.. i will move closer if it shows no sign of burning..

The 2 23 watters are about 1-2 inches away and are in between the two pots, giving the bottom leaves some more lighting... kind of weird looking, all the leaves half way up the plant are bright green from the light underneath... that isn't a bad thing, is it?

Alright, didn't see much difference in the plants after 12 hours under the added 111 watts of CFL's.... I swear this babies have been a foot away from the light for 10 days now, and that's without adjusting the lights..

Good thing is, hairs continue to blow up... One day i will post some legitimite bud porn... lol... until then, camera phone updates every 2-3 days if where we're at...

I'm just kickin' back at this point and being patient.. i've found myself helping out a lot on the newbie forum... or atleast i think i have... lol...

Any ideas on how close i can get this big ol' 65 watt CFL to the plants? I was thinking like 4-5 inches, but i could be wrong... doesn't seem to get that hot really...

Sorry for the lack of updates... had a bad case of the flu, which fortunantly didn't end up being the H1N1... Coming up on 5 weeks of flower on Thursday... main top cola on both plants continues to swell, but not as much as I would have liked to seen after 5 weeks of flower...

One of the ladies was of course one of my 2 originally stunted plants, which doesn't bode so well for her... She never got a chance to grow her secondary-foliage.. all she has is about 12 fan leaves, w/ bud sites forming right at the stalk.. I'm guessing this will diminish my yield on that one considerablly... oh well, had to flower and didn't have 2 locations so the 2 stunted had to flower as well... hey, atleast i got a female out of the two..

The other lady (I like to call Mary), is huge, bushy, and big... Beautiful to say the least.. Her top 4 nodes are completely covered in hairs, forming a noticeable main top cola... Beautiful!!! Clear trichomes are starting to form on the sugar leaves...

I doubt they will be ready in 3 more weeks, but who knows... I've seen some outdoors look similar to these, or maybe even behind some more, and end up done after 8-9 weeks... indica of course...

Yesterday was water day, so i hit them w/ 1 tblspoon big bloom, 1.5 tblspoon molasses per gallon... The only problem w/ molasses is it makes the soil so fucking sticky... Oh well, the plants seem to love it and it's yet to attract any bugs (ants, flies as i assumed it would w/ our hot weather)... On average, of the past 2 weeks, i've watered about every 4 days.... The only problm w/ that is it seems like they aren't getting enough Big Bloom feedings... I think they've had 5 feedings and they're 5 weeks old... 10 feedings w/ molasses...

Seems like the site is losing traffic due to security, safety issues atleast for the moment... hopefully it passes and everyone makes their way back...

In the meantime, i have decided to cease posting pics... I know a lot of people stray away from journals/post w/o pics, but i don't care.. i'm not going to try to impress someone by possibly incriminating myself..

I will def. update as often as possible... good luck to everyone in their endeavours.. if anyone is even reading my journal anymore.. which i believe no one is...

Decided against rotating the plants each day for now... Larger plant is soaking up the light from the 65watt CFL... it's placed right to the side of the main cola, and i've noticed enhanced growth on that plant... looks like it will be twice the yielder as the smaller plant, so i'll focus that 65watt CFL on the big plant the rest of the grow...

5 1/2 weeks into flower and the fans leaves are still green and alive... looks like they should make it another week or so... I don't know if these will be done in 8 weeks, but it will probably be something close to it... 9 at the most i'd say...

Trichomes are 80% clear, 20% cloudy right now...

Thanks for stopping by...

Yesterday was 6 weeks of flowering (+ 4 weeks of veg), so my babies are 10 weeks old... not really babies anymore...

White hairs continue to explode, as well as calxy (sp) development... Buds still aren't HUGE, but they have been growing a bit each day... Hopefully in the next couple weeks they really fatten up...

Bottom fan leaves are starting to yellow as well as some of the middle leaves turning a slight yellow shade... From outdoor experiences and extensive reading on RUI, that is completely normal... I continue to feed on a schedule of water+nute+molasses, water+molasses, and then continue that process... I will probably look to start flushing next week...

If I had to guess, I'd say about 3 1/2 weeks left... I'm in no rush for them to finish, so i will just let them do their thing... Trichomes are about 90% clear, 10% cloudy... about 5% of the pistils are an orangish/red color...

Smell is overpowering at this point... Fortunantly smell isn't really an issue for me, but whatever strain this is, it's REAKIN!!! lol... I will definetely look to VEG plants for 6-8 weeks next time to increase yield... I'm hoping for about 2 ounces total from the two plants (1 ounce each)... I may end up with more than that, which would be a huge bonus, but i'm thinking somewhere in that range...

I'll try to get a pic or two up 2mor...

Smaller plant appears to have recently hermed on me... Given how late it is into flower, I have chosen to just leave it be... Larger plant has no signs of seeds, while lower buds on the smaller plant have about 4-5 seeds total...

I've read this is a high possibility w/ unstable strains as well as bag seed grows... the girls will try to polenate themselves in a last ditch effort to survive..

Obviously pollen had been released or they're wouldn't be seeds on the underside of the smaller buds... They were really hiding in there... only after about a half hour of inspection did I actually find them... I spend most the time looking at the main cola, lol...

Anyways... they're are still a lot of white hairs on the plant, w/ only a few hairs receding or turning orange/red... Not sure how much longer they are going to take at this point.. I planned on starting to flush at 7 weeks, but it looks like they may have more than 2 weeks to go...

I will update when i can...

Alright... slight confusion as in regards to the previous post.. I believe now that the smaller plant popped a seed or two, but i was mistaken.. some of the pod shaped things I thought were seeds were actually some lower calyxs starting to swell... Guess that's a good thing...

Anyways... There are still a lot of long white hairs on the buds, which is starting to concern me somewhat.. They are almost at 8 weeks of flower... Hairs are starting to receed and turn orange/red colors, but not a whole lot of them... the calyxs are swelling more and at the same time it seems a lot more white hairs are pushing out... At 8 weeks, w/ this being an indica dominant plants (large, wide fan leaves), it should probably be closer to done than it seems to be...

The smell is starting to smell somewhat funny... It smells like MJ, but it has a weird smell that is very hard to describe.. I've inspected for mold and bugs, and that's not an issue, so i'm kinda clueless as to the answer to that one... I've worried it's the smell of it becomming over ripe, but there are lot of whire hairs which shouldn't be the case then... The sugar leaves are covered in trichomes, but after inspection they are mostly clear, some cloudy...

I started flushing (straight water yesterday, day 52 of flower)... I am going to see how they look in 2-3 days and if they're is still no sign of receding hairs, i will probably feed again 1-2 more times... I hadn't flushed the plant w/ straight water for about 5 weeks, so if i end up having to feed again, it wasn't that bad considering i flushed it and probably removed any buildup in the soil...

I was hoping to have some X-Mas smoke, but it looks like it's gonna be more of a first of the year smoke... Oh well, i guess i'll just have to keep an eye on things and make the call when need be...

Ok, so 2 days ago was 8 weeks into flowering... Some white hairs are starting to turn orange, but there is still A LOT of white hairs....

They are both obviously growing buds, i'm just not sure when they are going to be done... I have feed them straight water twice now (no nutes, minus a splash of molasses the last watering)... They seem to be sucking up a lot of water...

This is bag seed, so I have no idea what strain it is... I was under the impression it was an indica dominant strain (big fat leaves), which indicates a shorter flowering period (6-10 weeks)... At this rate, I could run into 12 weeks of flowering, on an indica dominant strain? That just doesn't seem to make any sense to me...

Fan leaves on the larger plant have allready started to yellow and some have fallen off, which seems to be allowing more light to the middle/lower buds... but the smaller plant still has all green fan leaves with some bronze color to them...
I've gone a long ways to cut them too early or wait too long...

Trichomes are mostly clear w/ some cloudy, so that's a pretty clear indicator they aren't ready yet... but i've never had the opportunity to check plants daily and tend to them inside... it was more of a, ok todays a good day, lets go... ok they look good... chop chop... run run... drive drive... lol

Waiting game i guess.... damnit

nice to see another 250 guy out there. I just had a 1 plant harvest...kept it real small as I was trying out new nutes and it turned out great. Just put 2 germinated fem wonder woman seeds in their pots and waiting for them to pop out. Cant wait to get the light running again. Im using a MH for veg and HPS for flower. Might get some supp side fluro lighting if I dont get a whole other 400 system. ill post pics of the harvest in a bit. Good luck bro.

Thanks for stopping by.. haven't had much traffic... I haven't posted a lot of pics and haven't updated a whole lot lately due to nobody really commenting or anything.. nice to have some comments...

2mor will be 9 weeks of flowering... It's bag seed and i'm pretty sure it's Indica dominant b/c of the large wide fan leaves...

I've now noticed hairs are starting to turn orange rapidly as well as the calyxes are swelling quite a bit... especially on the bigger girl... the smaller girl is the one that showed a few seeds at the bottom a couple weeks ago, her growth seems to be a lot slower... as well, her fan leaves aren't yellow and falling off.. they just have a bronze spotting all over them... Must have something to do w/ it going herm... the larger girl has allready lost half her fan leaves.. they yellowed and fell off... I've inspected the larger girl almost every day thoroughly... it's like some miracle that the smaller one hermed and she didn't... she is really showing the calyx swelling and hair color changing from white to orange/receding as well..

i took some pics last night... let me upload them real quick...

BTW... Yeah, the 250 watt HPS works well... but i did add 2 23 watt cfls and 1 65 watt cfl (big ass bulb) a few weeks ago to add some more light...

I was able to veg 6 ladies under a flouresent shop light for 2 weeks, and then vegged them for 2 weeks under the 250 watt hps... First indoor grow, so they might have been immature, thus the long flowering period i'm running into... Once they hit flowering though, i knew the 250 watt wasn't going to be able to support all of them... I hoped for 3 ladies out of 6... I got 2 ladies, 4 males...

I wonder now if that was actually a good thing... 3 ladies in full bloom prolly need more than a 250 watt hps (w/o decent side lighting) IMO...
