I'm building a new batch of soil and listing what I have added and what I still want to add.
I have a good feeling about the next mix.
I was using small amounts of lime when I re amended a soil and it caught up with me this grow. Unusual leaf discoloration. Light green patches on some fan leaves and lower fan leaves that appeared heat stressed with lifted corners that developed long after they were away from the lights. A clone I'm growing developed upper fan leave necrotic spots appearing to be a calcium deficiency.
I'm never 100% sure when it comes to diagnosing plants but I'm quite sure the lack of lime used when re amending caused a low soil PH. Adding 1 1/2 TBL of dolomite lime per gallon of soil about 6 weeks ago seems to have corrected the problem.

The 1st two pics show what I think is a calcium deficiency, the clones got hit the hardest, the seedlings only developed a random spot on a few leaves. I flipped to 12/12 on 1-1-20.
Happy Growing! :weed:

They look pretty good to me. If macros are a problem try composting some eggshells; they take a real long time to break down but also keep working for a long time once they do. I toss them in my worm bin after nuking for a minute to kill off pathogens; veggie omelettes are my specialty.
Multiple sources of macros spread the net wider: garden gypsum is good to add at recycles as well. Diversity is never a bad thing; it's better to give lots of different things in small amounts than to add a lot of one kind of input. Don't be afraid to up the dose a bit either. Have not had to give a soluble liquid cal/mag since adding gypsum along with D-lime. Whenever Im not sure what's the issue but I know something off adding more fresh ewc always seems to fix it.

This grow was poorly planned but every grow is a learning experience.
I feel like I'm getting my soil dialed in along with my watering and I'm really looking forward to the next grow after this harvest.
I'll either start a journal in the grow journal section or here in organics.

When I started my 360 worm factory I had a serious problem with fruit flies and have gotten it under control.
As a newb with a worm farm I was afraid of things being to dry and followed the rule in the beginning of keeping a damp sheet of brown paper over the top to keep things moist.

Now I keep the top dry with crumbled cannabis leaves.
After crumbling the MJ leaves in a box I add some DE to it and man I can't say enough how beautifully the DE evenly spreads among the leaves allowing me to create a nice layer on top that deters the flies.
I could go on with other stuff like my soil mix and stuff but I feel like I'm rambling on your thread.
That's why I'm going to start a journal next grow so I have a place to put my thoughts from this and the next grow.
Worms made it through the winter with no problem in my garage. Lowest temp in the garage was maybe 48 degrees.
Happy Growing!

All my grows are poorly planned too lol. It's hard enough just trying to keep us from running outta weed and every run gets a little better. Have the same issues with gnats in my worm bin but DE helps keep them under control. Feel free to crash this thread anytime; it's all good. That goes for anybody. Cultivating the finest cannabis in all the land is my favorite subject. Good luck and happy growing!!!

Ok so this one has been in the bloom room 14 weeks. She got nothing left to give but still has lotsa white pistils. Fans are completely gone...I forgot to water after taking her off the blumat carrots. Gonna hafta call it done as she is now throwing nanners.
Think we will leave her in the dark for a few more days before she gets chopped. This strain was originally crossed with HSO blueberry headband plants that came from fem seeds. This is the first plant ive seen herm out since this breeding project began.

In other news the bloom room is full to capacity. Had to put a few of these plants directly into the cold concrete floor because they are so damn tall; were touching the lights. The other 5 plants are finishing with a couple more weeks to go yet; elevated on milk crates.

Got some clones rooting from them now but the next strain after these will be Strawberry Sour Diesel x Candyman Haze. I consider this my signature strain; need this one back in my life. Def my favorite cross so far...time to start poppin beans again

So excited I can barely contain myself. Have not upgraded anything for my grow in a real long time but today I received delivery of my brand new Timber Redwood VS. Cannot wait to unbox it and get it over plants in the bloom room. Fresh pics coming soon. By the way I think I got a few nanners last run because the ballast of the old 600w is starting to pop the GCFI outlet when it kicks on sometimes. Happening more often now. The new light has arrived just in time. Thank you that is all.

I predict you and your plants will love it !

Look forward to seeing what you do with it :bigjoint:
Impressed with how solid it is. Very well made; frame is sturdy yet lighter than it looks. The heat sinks look strong and leds are very bright. Nice to see white light in the bloom room as opposed to that weird HPS orange hue. Was able to remove the ducting from the inline exhaust fan that used to be attached to my big ass reflector hood and turn the speed knob way down; room stayed at perfect temp.

Here’s the veg room; overcrowding is once again becoming a problem. Just put these into 5gal pots but I either waited too long to transplant or it is slight burn from too stout a worm leacheate. Not sure if I diluted it well enough last time....
