Determining Either Sativa Or Indica?

so we all know what sativas, indicas, and hybrids do..
but when people ask "When to chop plants"
some say
clear/cloudy trichs - headhigh
50 cloudy 50 amber - head and body stone
amber trichs - body stone

i dont get it?
so your saying if i have a 100% sativa plant and chopped it when trichs turned amber, ill have a heavy indica stone? or vice versa
someone clear this confusion for me!

The Sativa and Indica each have their own 'high' characteristics, but the more amber trichs you have when you harvest, (degrading / over ripe THC) will accentuate the 'couchlock' high that is normally associated with Indicas.
Below is a clip from a thread I copied, because I can never remember which is which.

Indica and Sativa are the two main varieties of the cannabis plant
used as medicine or for fun. There are many strains that are crosses
of those two varieties. Within each of those varieties and
crosses there are a huge number of individual strains, each with a
different cannabinoid profile and effect. Whether your looking to get
lazy or be up and ready, you will find out what kind of cannabis to smoke
at the right times. The Indica strains are a relaxant, effective
for anxiety, pain, nausea, appetite stimulation, sleep, muscle spasms
and tremors, among other symptoms. The Sativa strains are more
of a stimulant, effective in appetite stimulation, relieving depression,
migraines, pain and nausea.

As the trichomes age they eventually die and deteriorate. This process breaks down the THC into CBN (I think) which is often confused with CBD. You want to harvest at peak potency, which is before the majority of the trichs turn amber and decay. Sativas take long enough to finish without adding unnecessary time. If you prefer couchlock stones to cerebral head highs just grow indicas.

I'm sure you know that indica plants have broad leaves and sativa leaves are long and narrow. As far as the type of high you get is up to you and when you harvest.
