I like the idea about the deep watering i may try that on my largest plot but not the single plots. Idk about using the water absorbing polymers dont they affect the taste of marijuana?

The poly acrilimide polymers are suposed to mess with the tase, but ZEBA is starch based (from potatos) an should be fine an is aproved for food growing by some one (Fda?)... I got it of amazon.com for cheep 15$ for the packets.

I would use Mulch on topof a platic trash bag buried under a few inches of dirt to keep all water in the ground, pull a stake out near the plant an deep water em , Alot of shade might be nessacary as someone said earlier. I never grew anywhere that dry lol.

So if i do go looking for the polymer stuff just make sure its food approved right. I like the idea using trash bags to retain moisture in ground im thinking ill try it out. So with the deep watering trick mulching and trash bags this should all be great to keep my plants alive.

What are you going to do when in mid may it get over 95* your plants stomata closes and it will choke and die or yield almost nada because of stress and unable to uptake nutrients at this high heat. I have tried in southern nevada if you can get your clones out by march and build a hot box you will have something by mid may but your days get long.then bring your clones out again in sept then use hot box in oct,nov
Anything over 85* is no Bueno.
good luck and happy growing
