The evidence in our society is clear. We are spending over 1 trillion dollars a year in welfare (not counting social security & medicare). We are borrowing or printing 1 trillion dollars because there is no way we could possibly raise taxes high enough to pay for all of the welfare we are doling out. Eventually, the world will stop lending us money and the social safety net will disappear along with our economy. And it could happen within a year.
