Deleafing (defoliating) at harvest

For the dry trimmers out there wanted to get your all's input about deleafing at harvest.

  • Do you cut your plants down and hang'em THAN deleaf right than and there? (Could also deleaf before hanging as-well)
  • Do you cut your plants down and hang'em THAN deleaf after they have dried?
  • Do you cut your plants down and hang'em and don't touch them at all until trimming?

Also, when you do deleaf for harvesting do you remove only the BIG fan leaves or ALL of them?

Personally, I remove as many leaves as I can before hanging to dry.

I've tried hanging the plant without removing any leaves and found it was too much effort to remove the leaves once they dried as they seem to stick onto the buds

I'm sure you will get opposite opinions, as it's more or less a personal preference

Also if you plan on making hash, the fan leaves are a waste of space and it's hard to separate them once the buds dry.
