minimal is a subjective word that you are backing with a reference to lab results? Please use numbers when referencing lab results. The kitchen full if high people is also subjective. No amount of lost terpenes is acceptable. Vape first at low temp. Also the temperatures Steep Hill Chose are slightly high. The patent is 15 minutes at 225 followed by one hour at 200. Steep Hill even recommends lower temps to preserve what they call organic compounds.
so you make it for chicks & Hippy gives his stuff to his goat....what is this place....hahajust for shits and giggles...
Make the oil.
Set it in an Oil bath increasing heat to 235 F slowly...watching bubble action and dissipation(they become large and less often....
Once it reaches 235 F, Leave there for 5 mins...they say 10 to 15 mins for full decarb but hey......
works for what I use it for. anything over 70% is 'good enough for the chicks I know"
hope that helps.
The Farm my friend-oso you make it for chicks & Hippy gives his stuff to his goat....what is this place....haha
again you are misinterpreting what you read. If you start out with 100 grams of 20% thca bud at 10% moisture, what is the weight of the resulting decarbed sample. The moisture will be zero so you will have lost 10 grams in moisture alone. What else vapes away in weight? Those numbers you have don't indicate this. These losses are significant and measurable.the numbers are in the lab tests no? , total cannabinoids 29.3% to 27.4% after 60 minutes is minimal , it's how people have been doing it no?. how much actually remains is more then 90%+ according to the lab results in numbers
Take a whiff. Those are cannabinoids becoming airborne. Yes what remains is decarbed. How much actually remains is the question everyone should think about before cooking a big batch of cannabis. There are ways to do it with minimal losses. This is not the way.
clear question... Show some numbers if you want to reference something to verify your statement of minimal losses.... Just facts are needed not more questions.. What are the losses? Every loss must be accounted for.. If you read data.. Please interpret data with numbers and your minimal can be clearly understood. So u weren't talking about the amount cannabinoids lost?

In 1 gram of bud that is 20% thca and 10% moisture there are 200 mg of thca. After cooking in oven with no cover, how many mg of thc remain? Less than 200mg. What do you think your data indicates this number is? Now we can calculate a percentage loss of THC. What is the new overall weight? Less than 1 gram of cannabis remains. Now we can calculate the percentage loss in bud mass. Please interpret your data and fill in the two missing numbers. Then we can quantify the losses. Thanks for your patience.
with a solo vape I take 3 or 4 hits from each bowl (level 5) and save the remnants for eating.. they are plenty decarbed.. on an average day I end up eating about 1g for every 2-3g that gets vaped, so I have a bunch in reserve in case I run out of puffables..
